Meet the Coaches

Head Coach Mike Moore
Philadelphia University Head Coach Mike Moore (age 32) is taking the starting job and is the first coach in PHIU history. He has not had any past coaching experience except for a youth league Basketball team.

Offensive Coordinator Andy Thompson
Before taking a contract at PHIU, Andy Thompson was a 56 year old Head Coach at an Ohio high school team, he lead that school to an amazing record of 27-8. Leading them to an undefeated season and a state championship in 2007. His big game experience should be useful to this young University.

Defensive Coordinator James Joseph
James Joseph was a former D2 athlete at the University of Grambling State. He played at the corner position and was touted as the best in the Southern Conference. He will be utilizing his knowledge of cover schemes and zone blitzes to lead this defense to victory for the 2011-12 season.

Re: Rise of the Purple and Black | C-A-S Dynasty

Meet the Offense

Micheal Maxwell
Quarter-Backs - Freshman Micheal Maxwell 87 OVR, (RS)Sophomore Ira Merritt 58 OVR, (RS) Freshman P.J. Hansen 54 OVR.

The Quarter-Back position isn't a stacked one but with a Freshman as good as Maxwell at the helm the team should be able to land good recruits based off of the teams success. Maxwell comes in at 5'8 and only weighs 180 pounds but his speed and accuracy account for his small fry frame. The things Maxwell should work on is definitely his throwing power and his decision making. Expect for him to come back a much better QB his Sophomore year and hopefully for PHIU fans he'll grow a little in the next off-season.

Lawrence Weaver
Running Backs - (RS) Senior Lawrence Weaver 90 OVR, (RS) Freshman Khalid Drayton 90 OVR, (RS) Junior Cody Ewing 82 OVR, (RS) Junior Lee Olson 68 OVR, Sophomore Jeff Brown 55 OVR.

The running back position at PHIU is definitely a stacked one expect to see Lawrence Weaver split carries with Freshman Khalid Drayton for most of the season. The Dynamic Duo of sorts is very similar to that of DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart. Weaver ran a 4.3 in the 40 Yard Dash and has amazing on the field speed, Drayton however is a hybrid of sorts with Power Back size and surprising speed he isn't a LaMicheal James but he does have some wheels.

Fullbacks - (RS) Junior Cody Ewing 83 OVR, Senior Jerome Kramer 58 OVR.

The Fullback position at PHIU will be filled by 3rd String Halfback Cody Ewing due to his size and strength. Ewing is 6'3 and weighs in at about 255. Expect to see a lot of FB Runs near the goaline.

Wide-Receivers - (RS) Senior Tom Waters 86 OVR, (RS) Freshman Jamal Johnson 78 OVR, (RS) Freshman Anthony Shell 76 OVR, Sophomore Clint Baldwin 71 OVR, (RS) Sophomore Aaron Andrews 67 OVR, (RS) Sophomore Edwin Cobb 63 OVR

Easily the fastest position at PHIU, Tom Waters, Jamal Johnson and Anthony Shell all ran under 4.5 in the 40 Yard Dash with Jamal Johnson being the fastest coming in at about 4.29. These guys have hands too giving Freshman QB Micheal Maxwell a whole lot of targets to throw it to. This Receiving Core is going to be giving defenses headaches for a long time to come.

Tight-Ends - (RS) Junior Anthony Concepcion 66 OVR, (RS) Junior Joe Montoya 65 OVR, (RS) Freshman Dustin Gold 43 OVR.

Tight-Ends are a lackluster group for PHIU, expect to see them recruit at this position heavily to go for less blockers and more athletic tight ends.

RT Ray Fine and RG Drew Godfrey
Linemen - (RS) Junior Nathan Townes 82 OVR LT, (RS) Junior Adam Castillo 80 OVR LG, (RS) Freshman Matt Norman 85 OVR C, Sophomore Drew Godfrey 87 OVR RG, (RS) Freshman Ray Fine 82 OVR RT

Starting 5 for PHIU. A great blocking Unit and no seniors on the starting line. Expect to see them creating massive holes for PHIU's Two-Headed Monster of a run game.

Re: Rise of the Purple and Black | C-A-S Dynasty

Meet the Defense

Defensive Ends - Freshman Jermaine Williamson 88 OVR, (RS) Sophomore Alan Williamson 80 OVR, Senior (DT) Ben Johnson 72 OVR

The DE Position is led by The Williamson Brothers, they are both major pass rushing DE and have tons of speed for their position. Expect to see them greeting a lot of QB's this season.

Defensive Tackles - (RS) Junior Eric Noble 86 OVR, Senior Ben Johnson 82 OVR, (RS) Sophomore Pierre Walter 62 OVR.

The DT's are two huge guys who are deceptively fast and are great run stopping DT's. Senior Ben Johnson has amazing strength and probably will deliver a hell of a punch when tackling. These two Tackles combined with the Defensive Ends will be dominating some of the lesser teams O-Lines this year and are the star of a somewhat bad defense.

Outside Line-Backers - (RS) Sophomore Maurice Kane 83 OVR LOLB, (RS) Junior Marcus Hamilton 64 OVR, (RS) Sophomore Marcus Means 75 OVR ROLB, Senior John Morton 61 OVR

The two sophomore OLB's are very versatile and have ton's of potential they excel in the passing defense but they are also good pass rushers. None of them, however, are sure tacklers. Look for them to work on that as the years progress.

Middle Line-Backer - (RS) Freshman William Bates 78 OVR, (RS) Sophomore Quintin Hinds 73 OVR

Freshman Willie Bates isn't the strongest guy to ever play MLB but he is a great coverage Line Backer, he also is the most sure tackler at the LB position for PHIU and had 63 Tackles in his High School campaign. This kid could easily develop into a monster if he could just work a little harder and devote more time into the weight room.

Patrick Johnson Jr.
Defensive Backs - Freshman Patrick Johnson Jr 85 OVR, Junior Chris Gipson 75 OVR, (RS) Senior Brain Pettway 67 OVR, Junior Aaron Corbett 56 OVR, Junior Larry Van 52 OVR

Not much can be said about this DB Core except it is lead by True Freshman Stud Patrick Johnson JR, He came into the University as 6'1 210 Pound Wide Out but due to the bad talent at the position he became a Defensive Back. Chris Gipson also has some wide-receiver talent. He was an Iron-man in High School playing at the WR and CB positions. PHIU will be looking to improve this position through recruiting.

Oliver Julius Jr.
Free-Safety - (RS) Freshman Oliver Julius Jr. 85 OVR, (RS) Sophomore Wendell Talley 64 OVR, (RS) Junior Broderick Mitchell 57 OVR

Oliver Julius is a hard hitting Line-backer with Corner-back coverage skills. He is the perfect hybrid you want to play Free-Safety don't expect to see many teams throwing his way.

Sean Taylor
Strong-Safety - (RS) Sophomore Sean Taylor 87 OVR, Senior Dan Hartman 61 OVR

No worries at this position with Sean Taylor at the starting position. He is the most talented player on the defense and can do it all. A great fit at the SS Position and will pick off most that comes his way, but don't think he wont deliver one of the hardest hits you will ever feel. This guy is just IT.

Kickers - (RS) Freshman Ryan Bozeman 89 OVR

Great Boot on this kid, just needs to work on his accuracy a bit.

Punters - Freshman Zach Dunn 92 OVR

Very Accurate and has a Strong leg. What more could you want in a Punter?

Will definitely do C-A-P recruits if that's what you guys want. I could do something like 5 of em' a season and if I don't end up recruiting them I do like a weekly re-cap of some sorts.
