Bandits Stun Packers in Shootout

Aaron Rodgers and company came into Bandit Field expecting an easy win, it was not to be.

The game was a back and forth affair, with the Bandit offense having it's best performance of the year. Rodgers and the Green Bay offense kept their team in the game, but the Bandits outpaced their best scoring efforts.

Just looks at the numbers, Terrelle Pryor had a 300 yard performance with 4 total touchdowns, halfback Noel Devine contributed 194 on the ground and 2 rushing TD's and a 74 yard receiving TD.

For an offense that averages under 13 points per game, the Bandits had a breakout performance, putting up 45 on route to a 45-42 victory.

"I am ecstatic with how our team played tonight" said Head Coach, GM, and Owner Jonah Vaughn "I knew we could play with anyone in the league and we proved it against one of the best teams."

"It's important that we not get complacent, we are still 2-3" said halfback Noel Devine "There's a lot of season left."

The Bandits will host the division rival Panthers and Cam Newton, with both teams at 2-3 the loser could be left behind in the division race.

Re: Changing the NFL Landscape: An Atlanta Bandits Dynasty

Bandits Use Trade Deadline to Prepare for Future

This year's trade deadline saw the departure of two key defensive players for the Bandits.

Linebacker Kawika Mitchell was traded to St. Louis for a 2nd and 3rd round draft pick.

"He's played well for us this year" said GM Jonah Vaughn, "but it was time to move on."

Also surprising was a deal made on defensive tackle Igor Olshanksky, who was sent to Arizona for a 2nd round pick and running back Larod Stephens-Howling.

"With the arrival of Larod, I don't feel threatened at all" said current starting halfback Noel Devine "As a matter of fact I welcome the competition."

"Another young running back could do wonders for our offense" commented quarterback Terrelle Pryor "It is becoming one of our strongest positions"

Bandits Outlast Panthers in Rookie QB Showdown

Both Quarterback did not play to their full potential, as Cam Newton was 6 for 21 and threw for only 77 yards. While Terrelle Pryor threw 2 picks sixes.

"After a performance like that we are lucky we won" said Pryor "I need to work on my short pass accuracy."

The run game continued it's dominance as usual for the Bandits, Once again halfback Noel Devine had a great outing, running for 144 yards with a season high 19 carries.

New addition Larod Stephens-Howling also made a splash, he took his first carry as a Bandit 58 yards. He finished with 4 carries for 80 yards.

The Panthers had their chances to come back late. Down by 6 with 3 minutes to go, the Bandits got a huge stop and Carolina elected to punt with 1:56 left and 3 timeouts. Noel Devine proceeded to run out the game clock.

The Bandits move up to 3-3, their first .500 record in franchise history, they travel to Detroit this week to face the Lions.

Bandits Looking to End Road Losing Streak

Despite their 3-3 record, the Bandits are yet to win a game on the road.

"When we play on the road or in Bandit Field, it's like we're two different teams" said Head Coach, GM, and Owner Jonah Vaughn, "The hostile road crowds certainly have a negative effect on our concentration."

Vaughn's words ring true, as the Bandits are like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hide, they are 0-3 on the road and 3-0 at home.

"The main difference between our road and home performances is the ground game" said halfback Noel Devine "I have trouble breaking off long runs on the road."

Devine averages just 63 yards per game on the road, compared to his stunning 141 yards per game at home.

"If we expect to continue our success we will have to start winning on the road" said linebacker Lofa Tatupu "Or else this season will start to slip away from us."

The Bandits will get another chance at a road win this week when they face the Detroit Lions.

Re: Changing the NFL Landscape: An Atlanta Bandits Dynasty

Suh Calls Bandits "Soft"

"They are a soft team and we will prove it when they come to our house on Sunday"

These words are from Detroit Lion Ndamukong Suh, who is no stranger to controversy, the defensive tackle is known for his agressive play style and hot temper.

In his short career, Suh has been fined 42,500 USD for three seperate violations.

Suh also commented that the Bandits were "undersized and undermanned" and "destined to fall apart later in the season."

Bandits Head Coach Jonah Vaughn invited the trash talking, stating that "any comments like Suh's are just motivation for my team."

Vaughn went as far as to post a sign in the locker room that simply said "undersized and undermanned." to get his point across.

"He won't have much to say when we run the ball right at him" added halfback Noel Devine.
