Miami Vs. Notre Dame....Aka "Catholics Vs Convicts." The last time these two meet was back in the 2010 sun bowl where notre dame beat down the hurricanes to a 33-17 victory. Fast forward now these two plan to meet at soldier field to do battle once again! Miami is coming off a huge home win which gives them a little bit of momentum going into this game. On the other hand, Notre Dame is coming off a smacking at the hands of rival Michigan and hope to rebound this week.
Strap up and Strap in because the games are about to begin!

Re: It's all about the "U"...Nuff Said! || A Miami Hurricanes Dynasty
By just a narrow Margin!
Two enters soldier field...One is left standing! Canes barely escape with the win in Chicago!
Chicago, IL - Nail bitter, close call, small error for a mistake! This game provided intensity at it's best. Notre Dame vs Miami...or better yet know as the " Catholics vs Convicts" Whatever you want to call, just know I'm calling it amazing. Both teams came out onto the field and gave it their all, an more! It was just miami who wanted it abit more then ever.
Riding in on their momentum from last week big win against NC State, the canes looked to build off of their success. They did just that by opening up the game with a 72 Yd run for the score thanks to Sr, running back Mike james. Who put up another huge performance here today infront of the sold out crowd. The canes jumped out to an easy 14 point lead early in the first quarter but costly turnovers gave the fighting irish a chance to catch right back up and tie the game.
With canes starting qb out of the game with a concussion. They turned to backup qb Ryan williams to start the game for them and he prove he was ready, besides the early turnovers williams put together a solid game going 13-19, 190 Yds, 2 TD and 2 Ints on the night. He hit both Dorsett and hurns in stride for big touchdowns. Question now is....do the canes sit williams after winning two games for them?? or does morris take the back and williams get the keys to the car?? Only time will tell for the canes!!
For the fighting irish things didn't go so well for them on the night, as they hoped it would. The only big bright spot in the glum and doom of the game for them had to be the explosive cierre woods. He pounded the rock 23 times for a grand total of 159 yds and 2 TD on the night but his impressive efforts didn't put a fire under the team like it should have.
Only two minute left in the fourth quarter and the ball is in the hands on Notre dame. Only needing a field goal to tie it and a touchdown to win it...the ball is hiked, Quarterback golson drops back then cocks back his arm and forces a pass into coverage. Turnover on down and the canes run out the clock for the narrow win 31-28

Miami gets their guy! Offense for the canes should be explosive next year!
#1 WR Matt Pierre [*****] Toccoa, GA
- The canes got a huge lift in their recruiting when the #1 wide receiver in the nation decided to verbally commit to the canes. He choose Miami over hometown school Georgia, Clemson, Louisville, Notre Dame, and Auburn " Matt brings alot to the table, he's fast, physical and he can catch any passes throw his way. We're really looking forward to seeing what he can do on the field for us next year." Stated coach golden after hearing the news
#88 CB Jim Jackson [***] Cocoa, FL
- The canes didn't have to go far for their next recruit, as they picked out of their own backyard this time. Jackson decided to commit to Miami over FSU and Auburn. "J.J. will be a great addition to our secondary next year, pairing him up with howard and the other in the back. Hopefully it will help solidify our secondary for the next 3-4 years while their here."

Texas & Oklahoma brings bad blood to the table as the red river rivalry dawns..
Norman, Ok - Do you smell that in the air?!?! I know I do! That the smell of the red river rivalry about to throw down soon. #6 Texas face off against # 8 Oklahoma. This should be a interesting game to watch to say the least. Texas come into this match-up with the #1 defense in the nation and looks to prove that they mean business here tonight. The longhorns lost both sophomore and senior right tackle and left to rely on freshman Kennedy Estelle until one of the two returns from injury. I have to say this the young true freshman has been holding his own against some good opponents. As for oklahoma this aren't so lucky, they lost playmaker wide receiver kenny stills for the season due to a foot fracture and also CB Kass everett is sidelined for 9 more weeks with broken ribs. Talk about luck of the draw for these teams. Neither the less it should be a good match up between two top 25 teams! Will the longhorns continue their undefeated quest for that longing BCS title or will oklahoma dash their dreams and bring them back down to reality!

Week 7 is now upon us which mean we are now hitting the half way marks and games start to count even more, as the bowl games are just over the horizon! This week we bring you the tarheels of north carolina facing off against the hurricanes of miami!!
Tar heels are coming off a loss in which they only scored three point against virginia tech...talk about daunting defense. They look to rebound against the hurricanes. Key player to watch in this game is Sophomore corner Tim Scott who already has 6 picks in only 7 weeks of game play!
For the canes they are coming off a huge win against Notre dame in which they held onto a narrow victory. They can't go easy on the tarheels because then who know what might happen. Key player to watch for the canes is Senior running back Mike James. He has had back to back 100+ Yard games with atleast a touchdown, can he continue producing at such a high level??

Riding The Momentum! Canes pull off their third back to back win!
Coral Gables, FL - " Defense stepped up in a very big way tonight, we played locked D and shut down the tar heels offense " Defensive Coach Mark D'Onofrio said.
Harassed the opposing quarterback...check! Made big plays on the ball...check! Stopped them short on key plays...check! That's the way the canes played here tonight at miami stadium. They made big plays on both sides of the ball when the time was right racking up 5 sacks, 4 int, FF and returning 2 of those turnovers for points!
" We wanted to make a big statement hear tonight and we did just that. Our side of the ball has been quiet for most of the season, so we had to justify that by making some huge noise. " stated defensive caption LB Denzel Perryman
The canes jumped out to a 17 point lead earlier in the first quarter of things and didn't let up through the game. Scoring atleast 2 touchdowns in the following quarter either by way of offense or defense. Morris came back with a full bill of health but still perform at a decent level to say the least. Going for 15-25, 161 Yds, tossing 3 touchdown pass but also 3 interceptions to go along with it. It still all about the running game for the canes, as mike james racked up his third consecutive 100 yd game! Miami has won 3 of their last games and looks to continue to ride this sweeping momentum!
UNC played at such a low-level in today's game that it wasn't even funny. For a team that pretty good last year, they've taken a huge step back so far into the season. Maybe it's the new head coach? or maybe the new scheme change? but whatever it is they better hope to change it soon enough or they could be watching the bowl games at home this year!
