I actually would like to see Notre Dame join the Big 10. It would make the conference into something that could rival the SEC. I know it may not be realistic, but if you can justify it with a good enough storyline, I would like to see it. Just my opinion on conference shakeups...

I just thought a few storylines would bring it to life a little more, and if that meant shaking up the landscape of different conferences, that may be fun.

For instance, Penn State could wind up in the Big East. Maybe the Ohio Bobcats would join them.

The Big Ten could always grow a little too, bringing Notre Dame in to fill in for PSU, but also bring in Pitt, and someone else.

Big Ten Announces Changes Coming

Today Big Ten Commissioner Jim Delany announced that after much consideration, at the end of this season, the Big Ten will see some changes. When asked whether it had to do with bringing teams in, having teams leave, or both, he would not respond. He was also asked if this had to do with Penn State, and the problems they have had in the wake of the Jerry Sandusky scandal, again, he declined to respond.

I guess we will have to wait and see what happens to the B1G at the end of this season.

Big East Shows Interest in Big Ten Changes

Big East Commissioner Mike Aresco has admitted that he is following the Big Ten's "changes" that should be coming at the end of this season. He said that if Penn State is asked to leave the Big Ten, they could easily find a new home in the Big East. Aresco added that he has been looking around to add a few more teams to the conference to build it up anyway.

It looks like this year's college football off-season could wind up being quite an interesting one, with many changes going around the nation.

Notre Dame Puts to Rest Rumors of Going to Big Ten

Notre Dame coach Brian Kelly was interviewed today, and quickly put the rumors of his team going to the Big Ten to rest.

"The Big Ten is a great conference. It's a place with many great teams. But I don't see Notre Dame joining them. They have a good thing going on over there, but I don't see us having any interest in joining their conference".

The most interesting thing I see here is, Brian Kelly didn't say anything about any other conference. But he did strongly decline going to the B1G. So does this mean we could see Notre Dame join a conference in the future? Maybe the Big East, the SEC, or the MAC? We'll have to wait and see.
