i honeslty believe this game forces you to lose in the 4th quarter...if your not up by more than 2 tds, good luck. or maybe i just suck, but i just can't hold a lead, the DBs are like ******** versions of football players, they don't play the ball at all. its so frustrating.

Silver and Black Game Update

Steelers Pull Off Come From Behind Victory, Leave Oakland Fans Stunned.

The Raiders dropped this sundays matchup 24-23 in exciting last minute action

Oakland -A last minute steeler drive ends Oakland's hopes to avoid an 0-3 start.

The Raiders came in today selected as a sleeper pick to upset the smashmmouth Steelers. The matchups seemed to go either way with both teams consisting of a similar make up.The experts made the right call as the Raiders and Steelers slugged it out for the entire four quarters ending with an memorable 59 yard pass to WR Mike Wallace from Steeler QB Ben Roethlisberger. The Raider Fans stood stunned as they watched Mike Wallace prance through the endzone after out jumping Safety Tyvon branch.

"I should have swatted that ball away," said Branch, "I had a bead on it, but over ran my target a bit and got beat. Its all on me, no one else."

The Raiders struggled once again with ball secruity giving up 3 interceptions and 2 fumbles (1 on a muffed punt return the other on a D. McFadden rush). Carson Palmer looked alot more relaxed in Coach Crawford's new system, but still seemed to be unsure at times and trigger happy in the pocket. Darren McFadden took the majority of the offensive load picking up 84 yards on the ground and 52 yards through the air on 8 receptions. The teams leading reciever was preseason free agent aquisition Bo Sciafe who ended the game with 6 receptions and 87 yards.

The Raider defense is beginning to show life in the early season. Roethlisberger was sacked 6 times in this game and had very little time to throw the ball throughout the game. out of the 25 times he dropped back to pass, only 14 of those passes actually got off, 6 resulted in sacks and the other 5 resulted in penalties. Safety Tyvon Brance lead the team in tackles with 8, and both Lamarr Houston and DeMarcus Van **** ended the game with two sacks a peice. Matt Giordano had the only interception.

The Raiders are improving every week they get out their and seem to only need to fix their ball secruity problem before they start picking up W's. Next week the raiders begin divisional play as they take on Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos in Mile Hile.

Silver and Black Game Update

Oakland Grab First Win in Huge Fashion by Shutting Down Manning

Oakland -The Oakland Raiders earned their first win of the 2012 season by defeating Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos at Mile High

It took one of Peyton Mannings worst games since his rookie year for the Raiders to pull this out, and all of the praise should be given to the defense in this matchup. The Oakland Raiders absolutely absued the Denver Offensive Line picking up four sacks and forcing 3 interceptions from the Pro-Bowl Quarterback. There was no such thing as run blocking for Willis McGahee as the Oakland Raider DLine was just too fast for the Denver Oline to make lanes for the running backs.

"It feels good to have a game like that as a unit," said team captain Richard Seymour, "It's even better when it's against a guy like Manning."

Carson Palmer had his best game this season, (not really saying much considering the samples), playing for the most part, mistake free football. Darren McFadden handled the running game and produced at his usual pace. geting considerable looks during 3rd down attempts. Dariius Hey-Ward Bey was the teams leading reciever by a slim margin over Rob Streater. A Rookie who played the slot after Jacoby Ford went down for a few series. Johnny Knox caught the teams only recieving touchdown.

The Defense is slowly becoming one of the more impressive defenses in the league. The speed of the rush is hard to contain at times for throwing teams and is something that has kept the raiders in alot of games. Richard Seymour lead the team with two sacks and Branch, Chekwa, and Van **** all had an interception a piece.

The Raiders hope to build on Coach Crawford's first win as head coach as they travel to Atlanta to take on Matt Ryan and the Falcolns.

Re: Out With the Old in With the New: An Oakland Raider's CCM

Bye Week: An Interview with Coach Reginald Crawford

Sean: We're here with the new coach of the Oakland Raiders Reignald Crawford
Crawford: Thanks for Having Me

Sean: The Raiders have gotten off to a rough start, but last week you guys were able to pick up your first win against your divisional rivals the Denver Broncos, do you see this win as a turning point for the season?
Crawford: Oh yea sure, it's always a boost to get your first win, no matter how deep into the season. Everything we've been working twoards in the last few games finally came together in Denver.

Sean: How has the players accepted your scheme after spending an entire offseason forgetting their previous scheme, learning Dennis Allens scheme, then having to relearn your scheme.
Crawford: Well thats alot for players to handle in such a short time and i think they've handled it very well. We've been in every game so far and our win loss record doesn't exactly reflect the skill level of this team.

Sean: The Problems between you and Quarterback Carson Palmer has been well documented, he was very receptive of Allens new scheme, and was none too happy with the scheme you choose to impliment, has that had any correlation with his poor play on the field?
Crawford: Well first, i think Carson has been playing well with the situation he's in. And yes we've had some spouts in practice but Carson is a professional and hasn't let anything affect him between the white lines. He's a Gamer, through and through.

Sean: The defense has played exceptionally well, was that something you expected coming into the season.
Crawford: Well the Raiders organization did a great job acquiring athletes to make up their defense and they're been coming together incredibly well. Seymour has set an atmosphere in the locker, play hard and don't make mistakes. Can't ask for much more than that from these guys.

Next week you guys go up against an explosive offense in Atlanta, any thoughts about that?
Sean: Have a defense just as explosive.

Sean: Thanks for your time
Crawford: No problem. Go Raiders.
