***THE 2013 NFL SEASON AWARDS***:

QB Aaron Rodgers of GreenBay Packers is the NFC Offensive Player of the Year after having another solid season throwing for 4,331 yards, 36 TD's, 11 INT's with 60% completion rate and QB rating of 96.4.

ROLB Demarcus Ware of Dallas Cowboys is the NFC Defensive Player of the Year after another astounding year. Ware tallied 116 tackles including 15 tackles for loss, 14 sacks and 1 INT. He was simply a Beast.

QB Tom Brady was also named as the AFC Offensive Player of the Year.

MLB Jerod Mayo was awarded the AFC Deffensive Player of the Year after a great season. Mayo tallied 119 tackles including 6 tackles for losss, 5 sacks and 6 INT's.

HC Ken Whisenhunt of the Arizona Cardinals is awarded the NFL Coach of the Year award after leading Arizona to a surprising 12-4 finish. His team is now one of the best teams in the NFL.

HB Andrew Niles [77 OVR] of Washington Redskins won the NFC Rookie of the Year award after a solid season in which he run for 472 yards averaging 3.0 yards per carry and 6 TD's.He also had 21 receptions for 245 yards and 5 TD's. Niles injury history still exists but his stats prove he is quite an effective touchdown scoring machine with 11 TD's as a rookie in both rushing and receiving.

CB Xavier Limon[78 OVR] of Arizona Cardinals won the NFC Defensive Rookie of the Year award after an excellent season in which he had 43 tackles and 7 INT's with 1 returned for a TD.The addition of Limon to Peterson, Rhodes and Wilson gives Arizona arguably the best secondary in the NFL.

WR Anthony Jackson [79 OVR] of the Cleveland Browns is awarded the AFC Offensive Rookie of the Year. Jackson had an excellent season in which he led all receivers in Browns team by recording 69 receptions, 1,012 yards and 7 TD's. * Remember when I said he is going to be a star in this league. Thinking back to the draft being selected 13th overall seems to be a steal of a pick for the Browns.

RE Dalton Jones [80 OVR] of the New England Patriots is the AFC Defensive Rookie of the Year. Dalton Jones was drafted in the 2nd Round (Pick 6) out of Pittsburgh and had a excellent rookie year for a defensive lineman. Dalton tallied 53 solo tackles including 9 tackles for loss, 8 sacks and even recorded 1 INT. He played like a seasoned vet and was a steal as well.

Re: MADDEN CCM FRANCHISE (ARIZONA CARDINALS & OTHER FRANCHISE STORIES)

***2014 OFFSEASON ***

**2014 PLAYER AND COACH RETIREMENTS***

HC Bill Belichick [Chad Master ] finally retires from football after compiling 199 Career Wins including 3 SB championships. He is definitely a Hall of Famer and will be missed in the league.

After 16 Seasons and compiling 1263 receptions, 14,505 yards and 100 TD's, TE Tony Gonzalez have decided to call it a career.Gonzalez is one of the pioneers who revolutionized the TE position in the NFL and now TE are a major offensive weapons in the passing game. Tony Goonzalez is walking straight into the Hall of Fame.

DT Casey Hampton also retires after 13 NFL seasons. Casey was one of the NFL's best pure Nose Tackles in the 3-4 defense.

MLB London Fletcher of Washington Redskins have also decided to call it quits after 16 seasons in the league. Fletcher was one of the NFL's hardest working players and a great leader. He will be in the Hall of Fame one day.

FS Ed Reed of Baltimore Ravens have also decided to hang up no. 20 after 12 years in the NFL. Ed Reed was one of the best safeties or defensive back to have played the game. He tallied 766 tackles, 6 sacks and 62 INT's. His intelligence on the football field was second to none as he was the best at intercepting the ball and scoring with it as illustrated by his 7 INT returned for TD's.

Re: MADDEN CCM FRANCHISE (ARIZONA CARDINALS & OTHER FRANCHISE STORIES)

**2014 COACHING CAROUSEL**

There were quite few changes in the coaching carousel with some coaches being fired and some leaving for other jobs. Here is the breakdown of the coaching carousel:

The Fired Coaches:

HC Pete Carroll of the Seattle Seahawks was fired!! after a terrible season.

HC Mike Shanahan of Washington Redskins was also fired after poor results.

Legendary HC Brian Billick who came back from retirement last season is hired as the new HC for the New England Patriots. This is great pick up for that patriots.

Former Baltimore Ravens HC John Harbaugh have decided to leave the Ravens and joins the Washington Redskins to continue his career. Harbaugh left after the successive retirements of Ray Lewis and Ed Reed and feels he was unappreciated so went with the Redskins after Owner Dan Snyder gave him a $40.M contract making the highest paid coach in league history.

Chan Gailey, formerly HC of Buffalo Bills takes over the Seattle Seahawks after choosing not to renew his contract with the Bills. He feels a different environement will give him better success ( errm good luck with that..welcome to the NFC West.. where Arizona Cardinals Defense eats QB's for lunch!!!! ).

Pete Carroll did not become unemployed for long and agreed to terms with Baltimore Ravens to become their new HC ( Is Baltimore insane!!! )

Re: MADDEN CCM FRANCHISE (ARIZONA CARDINALS & OTHER FRANCHISE STORIES)

***HE IS BACK!!!!!!***

Future Hall of Fame QB Kurt Warner has decided to come out of retirement like Brett Favre did a few years back. Warner said he missed the game and feels he can still play. The league is happy to see Kurt back to play again. Warner also said the urge to win one more Superbowl as the main reason he is back in the game as he feels his legacy is not complete without another Superbowl ring.

Arizona Cardinals GM Rod Graves has announced that they will re-evaluate the team and add Kurt Warner if need be since they feel they are an elite QB and LT away from winning a Superbowl.

Re: MADDEN CCM FRANCHISE (ARIZONA CARDINALS & OTHER FRANCHISE STORIES)

*2014 FREE AGENT SIGNINGS*

* WR Chad Ochocinco retired at the end of 2012 season and is now back in the league. Chad retired prematurely and still feels that he can play at a decent level.

QB Kurt Warner agreed to a 3-year $37.5M deal to compete for the starting QB job of the Arizona Cardinals. GM Rod Graves could not resist signing this future Hall of Fame QB to the Cardinals roster. Graves believes the offense is in a position to become elite once again like 2008 Cardinals and with weapons like Larry Fitz, Floyd, Housler and Williams, The Flying Cards are ready to shock the league once more. They just need to address that LT position.

QB Donovan Mcnabb, formerly of the Washing Redskins and Philadelphia Eagles finally has a job as he signed with the Tennessee Titans who still do not believe in Jake Locker as their starting QB yet.

Indianapolis Colts bolstered their WR corps by signing veteran wide out Anquan Boldin. This is a solid signing for the colts and good target for Andrew Luck but they still need to draft Luck his number 1 target for him to grow with.

Minnesota Vikings added WR/KR Devin Hester to their team. This is a solid addition since Hester is still one of the most dangerous returners in the game.

Re: MADDEN CCM FRANCHISE (ARIZONA CARDINALS & OTHER FRANCHISE STORIES)

**2014 NFL DRAFT STORYLINES**

*The Tale of 3 Quarterbacks*

At the Start of the season,

FSU QB Carl Elliot emerged as the favorite to go Number 1 overall since He possessed such a strong arm and....

deservedly so he was lighting it up. However

Washington State QB Donald Breer emerged as the Second Best option.

However during the course of the season:

FSU QB Carl Elliot's decision making and accuracy issues started to affect his draft stock after some serious losses to inferior opponents.... whilst

Washington State QB Donald Breer continues to make headlines with his consistent play especially his decision making and leadership skills... meanwhile

Another QB emerges and this time it is Mathew Osborn from Oklahoma State impresses scouts with s strong performance in the Orange Bowl.

Senior Bowl and Combine Performance:
At the Senior Bowl and Combine Practices...

Washington State QB Donald Breer dominates the competition showing off his ability to make all the throws especially the deep ball which was a question from scouts and just wowed everyone whilst....

FSU QB Carl Elliot tears his pectoral muscle during a QB workouts which will certainly affect his draft stock. [poor dude...awww..]....

Oklahoma State's QB Mathew Osborn fails to impress NFL scouts as he misses almost all his deep ball placements and has scouts listing as a career backup at best.
