Conference Realignment: ACC adds Syracuse and Pittsburgh
Big East adds Memphis, San Diego St, Houston, SMU, Boise St, and UCF
C-USA adds FIU, North Texas, Louisiana Tech, and UTSA
The Big East loses it's AQ status for the 2013 season. They can regain it for 2014 if the conference preforms well against AQ conference teams.

NCAA Football Rankings - Coaches Poll - Updated: Jan 1, Pre
I'm through the first 8 weeks of the season and this season has been quite a bit more disappointing then last. The Seawolves sit at 2-5 going into week 9. On a brighter note, recruiting is going good once again this season. I've already locked up 6 5-star recruits, 3 of which I'm expecting to start next season. I'm having a good feeling that even after a disappointing year this season, the next 2 seasons could show a lot of promise and maybe a bowl game!
Clifton Arnold hasn't quite been what I hoped he would be thus far, but he is a freshman so I'm sticking with him. He has thrown 1137 yards, 6 TD's, and 10 INT's so far. I don't think the problem is him though, it's our lack of talent at WR and a couple holes on the O-Line. I have a decent WR prospect coming in though, so hopefully they can find some chemistry next year. I'm basically writing this season off and recruiting for next season.
Here's news outside of Alaska.

If I had to make a decision right now on the BCS National Champion Game, I would have to put Georgia in against either Texas or Nebraska. Georgia has looked unstoppable in their games, plus they're averaging 45 points per game!
Well, we finished worse then last year but there's a bright future ahead for this program. Clifton Arnold picked up his game in the second half of the season and preformed MUCH better, showing some flashes of greatness. Kris Sarria also finished with another 1,000 yard rushing season providing a solid ground game.
For the 2nd time in 3 years the National Championship features teams from the same conference facing each other for the 2nd time, driving football fans mad.

News The Big 12 is able to get back to 12 teams and bring a Conference Championship game back to the conference. And I must say, it's a pretty tough looking conference. The Big East fails to reclaim it's AQ status, but adds Navy and Nevada. Also, the Conference presidents have voted to limit conferences to a maximum of 13 teams! This means a SEC team will be on the move for sure next year, and the Big East is set where they're at.
