Re: Into The West: A San Diego Chargers Franchise (Madden 25)
Week 4 Notes
Roster Moves
None
Transactions
- Donald Butler accepted a 4 yr/11.7M contract extension.
Scouting
- The front office and scouting team began pouring over game tape for several dozen college players. Early rumor is the Chargers will be looking for help at CB, TE, HB, and G. Coach McCoy has stated that "we are several weeks away from divulging anything close to a draft strategy."
Team News
- DJ Fluker has returned from injury. Ryan Mathews was excited to get, as he put it, "the best offensive line prospect this team has had in years back on the field." This remains to be seen, but having Fluker can only help give Mathews more running room than he has seen in the first three games.
DJ Fluker in practice this week
- The offense gets an additional boost with the return of WR Danario Alexander back #2 on the depth chart.
- Coach McCoy said the Charger will experiment with some 3-4 on defense this upcoming week. "Dwight, Melvin, Donald, and NT Cam Thomas have lots of experience with the 3-4" said Coach. "With Manti playing so well, we want to have all these guys on the field at one time to maximize our defensive potential."
Upcoming Game vs. Dallas Cowboys (3-0)
- The Cowboys come in giving up only 60 yards on the ground per game and sacking opposing QBs 13 times in three games.
- Offensively they haven't allowed a sack yet this year.
