Re: Return of the Raiders: Madden 25 Dynasty

Raiders offense explodes in fourth quarter, Bishop sinks the Chargers 38-17

In a game that looked like it could come down to the last second, the tide quickly changed to the tune to a Raiders blow out when the fourth quarter came around. At the start of the fourth quarter both teams were deadlocked at 17-17, but then the Raiders flipped a switch and scored 21 unanswered points on a helpless Chargers defense.

It didn't come without a cost, as Raiders lead runningback, and the only back returning from last year went down with a major injury. Rashad Jennings left the game with one of his arms hanging lower than the others, it was later found out that he had broken his collarbone and couldn't lift his arm. He was having a good game before he left rushing for 37 yards on 6 carries. That's when the Raiders rookie had his breakout game.

Bishop Sankey was released on the Chargers, and the rookie out of Washington never looked back. He sliced through the Charger's defense at will, amassing 147 yards on 18 carries throughout the last three quarters. he quelled his speed concerns coming out of the draft with a 45 yards gallop for a touchdown in the fourth quarter to put the game out of reach. He was rewarded with his first Player of the Game Award and Pepsi's Rookie of the Week honor. Marcel Reece got in on the fun with a 13 yard run in the fourth quarter, and Pryor showed off why he's in the Hall of Fame for the longest QB run by taking off twice to gain 72 yards. The Raiders had 258 rushing yards on the day.

Terrelle Pryor had a very polarizing day as he threw for three interceptions in the first two quarters, but once he settled down he finished with his career best four touchdowns on the day. It helped that Rod Streater had his best game of the season also with 7 catches for 123 yards and 1 touchdown, he's been making to most of his role as the number two receiver. Eric Ebron caught his first NFL touchdown in the redzone, which surprisingly came before Sammy Watkins.

Verner did a great job shutting down the Chargers main offensive weapon in Keenan Allen, limiting the sophomore receiver to 3 catches for 22 yards. He also had 2 tackles for a loss as he wrapped up Danny Woodhead in the backfield two times in a row. Sam Montgomery was the real star on defense though, switching between defensive tackle and end he recorded 6 tackles, 3 tackles for a loss and a sack, the former Texan has been a steal so far.

The Raiders travel to Jacksonville to play the Jaguars next week.

Rookie Watch:

Sammy Watkins WR: 3 catches, 54 yards

Kony Ealy RE: 1 tackle, 1 TFL

Bishop Sankey HB: 18 carries,

Will Sutton DT: 5 tackles, 1 TFL, 1 sack

Teddy torches Raiders, Jags win 34-23

If the Raiders weren't regretting taking Teddy Bridgewater in the 2014 draft, they are now. Teddy totaled three touchdowns on the day, all three coming through the air as he picked on DJ Hayden early and often. He was targeted for two of Bridgewater's three touchdowns. He is at risk of losing his job to Tracy Porter if he performs bad next game. The Raiders traded down from the number one pick the 2014 draft for the Jaguars first and second picks.

@teddyb_h2o No hard feelings Raider Nation, just trying to make my home state proud! #Florida #GoJags

Sammy Watkins wouldn't let himself be out shined by Bridgewater as he put on his best game of the season. Watkins totaled 6 receptions for 134 yards, and gave the Raiders some confidence in their pick. He was electric all game, but he couldn't translate his production into touchdowns. On a 67 yard catch he was shoe laced tackled, leaving him down at the one after what was initially thought to be a touchdown was overturned, he was visibly upset watching Sankey running it in from the one.

@SammyWatkins7 Earned my first double team today! Next game gonna get my first touchdown god willing! #Blessed #RaiderNation

Watkins and Denarius Moore are becoming a dangerous tandem at wide reciever, as both of them have the ability to break open the game at any moment due to their blazing speed. The Watkins Moore connection totaled 198 yards on 12 catches on the day. Moore is playing for a contract this year and rumors are that the Raiders would like to keep the two pass catchers together.

Rookie Watch:

Sammy Watkins WR: 6 catches, 134 yards

Will Sutton DT: 2 tackles, 1 Tackle for loss

Kony Ealy RE: 1 tackle

Bishop Sankey HB: 11 rushes, 41 yards, 2 touchdowns

Draft Tweets

@ToddMcShayEA The moment Jalen Royals been waiting for: played great after SS Sean Gray went down, let's see if this continues.

@SCollinsEA Early on, Connor Falcon is making his case as one of the top QB's in this class. Leads CFB in touchdowns for QBs. #Brownsbound?

@RossTucker Josh Parker is a little dude with huge big ply ability. Perfect for that RB/WR spot on your fantasy team come next season. #Next DarrenSproles

SCollinsEA: Waiting for the Alaska Twins to morph into an uber-being on big plays to further congest their stat line. Had 3 sacks, 1 FF combined.

Re: Return of the Raiders: Madden 25 Dynasty

Raiders overcome 15 point deficit, slay Lions 33-31

You never want to see a game come down to the last second, but the Raiders needed those extra two seconds to clinch the game. The Raiders made a field goal as time expired to put them up 33-31 to complete the comeback against the Lions.

Though the biggest occurrence of the game was when Noe Estrella elected to bench Terrelle Pryor in favor of Matt McGloin, and that's when the whole game changed. Well not immediately, McGloin's first pass was an interception by Darius Slay which put the Raiders in a 24-9 hole.

MCGloin went to work first hitting Eric Ebron in stride for a 66 yard touchdown, the Raiders first passing touchdown of the game. Ebron was left in for the remainder of the game, as his game breaking ability could only help the Raiders. Ebron totaled 105 yards on 5 catches on a touchdown.

Sammy Watkins has earned a nickname with the Oakland faithful, they dubbed him "Sweet" Sammy Watkins. Sweet delivered on his promise, earning his first NFL touchdown and running to the black hole to embrace the fans that had so much confidence. He had a bet with the other Lion's receiver Marqise Lee that whoever had the least yards had to wear the other's jersey. Sammy ended up with 101, his second hundred yard game in a row, while Lee ended up with 74.

SammyWatkins7: Marqise you're gonna look real pretty in an my Oakland Jersey. Doing USC proud huh? #RaiderNation # Sweet

The defense stepped it up in the last half also after being shredded by journey man Jimmy Clausen with three touchdowns they struck right back. DJ Hayden had been hearing news this game was the deciding factor in keeping his starting spot and he put together his best game this season, defkecting two passes and taking one the other way for six. Both Tyvon Branch and Alterraun Verner recorded picks in the game. Kony Ealy also had his best game recording two sack as the Raiders moved him all around the line, and at times even played him at linebacker.

Though the biggest play of the game came when McGloin hit Denarius Moore down the sideline on a 34 yard pass with under a minute left to set up the winning field goal. It would set up what would be the biggest Raider comeback of the season.

After the game Coach Estrella had some choice words for the team, "Let me start this off by saying, I'm glad our team won. Now that it's out of our way I'd like to say we should have never even been in that situation. The Lions game into that game with Mathew Stafford, Reggie Bush and Ndamukong Suh out. Arguably their most important players besides Megatron, So we should have had that game easily. I know you all want to know about our Quarterback status next week and I'm just going to tell you this, you'll know when we send the offense out for the first time. We have to evaluate both of them."

Key Stats:

Matt McGloin QB: 210 yards, 2 touchdown, 1 interception

Terrelle Pryor: 200 yards, 3 Interceptions

Rod Streater: 6 receptions, 93 yards

Denarius Moore: 5 receptions, 57 yards

D.J. Hayden: 2 Pass Deflections, 1 Interception, 1 touchdown

Rookie Watch:

Sammy Watkins WR: 5 receptions, 101 yards, touchdown

Bishop Sankey HB: 14 carries, 44 yards, touchdown, 4 receptions, 40 yards

Eric Ebron TE: 5 receptions, 108 yards, touchdown

Kony Ealy RE: 4 tackles, 2 sacks

Will Sutton: 4 tackles, 1 tackle for loss

Re: Return of the Raiders: Madden 25 Dynasty

Breaking News!

Oakland Raiders' standout rookie receiver Sammy Watkins was carted off the field in the Raiders' game against the Miami Dolphins. Watkins was it low during a kick off return when he was filling in for an injured Odell Beckham. The receiver's leg looks to have possibly snapped. and if that's the case then he'll likely be out for the season. Hold on... he just tweeted...

@SammyWatkins7 I'm sorry Raiders fam, but I'm in the hospital and they just told me my leg is broke. I'm down for this season, but I know you guys will still be strong. I'll be out for 32 weeks, or eight months. Sorry y'all, but next year I'll come back even better. #Promise #RaiderNation #Comeback

Sammy Watkins led all rookie receivers in yards with 402 yards, and was widely believed to be in contention for Offensive Rookie of the Year. With him out the Raiders will have to start looking for other options at wide receiver, rumor has it they have been looking at his teammate out of Clemson Martavus Bryant the 6'5" receiver on the Jacksonville Jaguars practice squad.

@Rodstreater80 Get better sweet Sammy, you know I'll be praying for you. We'll miss you out here, hurry back. #Healup

I agree. No way you should pass on a franchise QB for a WR.
