Huskies Dominate Vandals
SEATTLE, WA -- The Washington Huskies demolished the visiting Idaho Vandals this weekend in a showcase of talent. The Huskies' starters were pulled about halfway through the 3rd quarter, allowing Washington fans to get a glimpse of the future in QB Cyler Miles. The shutout ended about halfway through the 4th quarter on a blown assignment (how my corner forgot that he played deep in Cover 3 is beyond me). Next week Washington opens up Pac-12 play against Arizona in what should be a much better game!

College Gameday is headed to Columbus, Ohio for the matchup between #2 Ohio State and #17 Wisconsin. It will be Braxton Miller's first true test of 2013. Can he lead his Buckeyes to victory and strengthen his Heisman case?

The Washington Huskies open up Pac-12 play against Arizona. This will be a tough game, as both defenses are highly ranked.

Comeback Falls Short
SEATTLE, WA -- The Washington Huskies saw their comback fall short on Saturday. After getting off to a slow start, the crowd never really seemed in to the game. "It was too quiet in here in the fourth quarter. There was no energy in the stands, there wasn't enough energy on the sideline, and there certainly wasn't enough energy on the field," coach Sarkisian said after the game. The Huskies' signal caller did not look happy in the post game press conference.

Many fans find themselves looking for answers. In a game where the Husky defense forced 4 field goal attempts, the offense wasn't able to deliver enough. After the last field goal made by Arizona the Huskies had just over a minute, with 2 timeouts, to drive the length of the field to set up a game tying field goal. With less than 10 seconds left quarterback Keith Price threw an interception that sealed the deal for the Wildcats.

"I have to be better," Price said after the game. He continued to note that it is very hard to win at this level of competition when you go -3 in the turnover department. "That's on us. That's on the offense," Price said.

The Huskies will look to regroup in a smashmouth game next week at Stanford.

College Gameday is headed to the Swamp for the matchup between #11 Florida and #21 Arkansas. The Gators #1 defense in the nation looks to stop a prolific Arkansas run game. The Razorbacks are looking to move to 6-0!

Stanford and Washington both look to bounce back after losses. Can the Washington defense continue to be stout against Stanford's power run game?

Washington has made offers to the following high school athletes...

Washington Huskies Recruiting - 2013
NAMEPOSCLASSHOMETOWNHTWTCALIBER
Ty CampbellTEHSBakersfield, CA6'5254
Michael WashingtonOLBHSEuless, TX6'1254
Daniel BurnetteHBHSManitou Springs, CO6'2215

Coach Sarkisian stated that all 3 players have been on their radar since last spring, but are now excited to offer them scholarships. Coach Sark expressed a lot of excitement about Ty Campbell. The senior tight end out of Bakersfield shows a lot of promise. A freaky athlete at 6'5 254, with a receiver skillset, that could cause matchup nightmares for future defenses.
