Game Notes
After a disappointing week 01 loss at home to the Seahawks, the Saint Louis Rams will get on the road to the nation's capital where the Washington Redskins await them. The Redskins are also looking to bounce back after dropping the first game at home to the Dolphins, but with RG III out with a broken wrist, hopes aren't too high in DC. For the Rams, it will be another good test for rookie Todd Gurley, who excelled against the mighty Seahawks defense but ultimately couldn't lead his team to victory.

Re: Year of the Ram - A St. Louis Rams Dynasty (M16)

Offense disappears, Rams drop ugly game to 'Skins.

WASHINGTON, DC - Last week the Rams entered the fourth quarter trailing by just one possession with a clear chance to win the game. It happened again this sunday and once again Foles threw a key interception in the crunch time to seal a loss, the second one in two games for Saint Louis' squad.

It was a pretty off day for the entire Rams' team as they couldn't find their groove in the offense and the defense had trouble bringing opponents to the floor. The Redskins enjoyed the opportunities and, with a strong running game, did just enough to win the game by the (ugly) score of 9-7.

The main problem for the Rams was, of course, the offensive line. Foles had to deal with a lot of pressure in every snap, making quick throws that often finished on the ground or in the hands of the Redskins defensive backs. In the only occasion he had time to think and analyze the field, he found Britt route running with single coverage from Hall and hit him for a 70 yard touchdown. This one was the lone touchdown of the day as all of Washington's scores came from field goals.

Foles also had his share of blame. His first interception of the day was an ugly overthrown pass the went wide over Cook's head, right in Goldson's hands. Also, this was the second time this season that the Quarterback had a chance to win the game in the fourth and failed miserably, with both finishing in interceptions and losses.

Todd Gurley also suffered with the bad offensive line. The rookie was often swarmed by the 'Skins front seven and couldn't replicate the success he had in the first game against the 'Hawks. Meanwhile for the home side, Morris rose to the occasion of RG III's injury and was pretty solid, finishing with 157 yards on 31 carries. McCoy also did just what was asked of him, with 21 completed passes on 28 attempts for 127 yards.

The Rams now will try to bounce back at home against the Steelers, while the Redskins will have their first divisional challenge at New York versus the Giants.

Out of sync: Foles' pass goes through Quick's hands. The offense struggled badly against the Redskins.

Re: Year of the Ram - A St. Louis Rams Dynasty (M16)

Week 02 - Power Rankings:

The defending champions were dethroned. No, the Patriots didn't lose, but the Seahawks' win in Green Bay was just too good to be ignored and that's why they are at the top. This same game made the Packers slip a little but Baltimore didn't raise the opportunity to take their place. Come on... against the Raiders? You can't be that close. The Cardinals enjoyed it, though.

However the main storyline for the beginning of this season of course is: "Is Peyton Manning finally done?". The Broncos are off to a 0-2 start, the first time a Manning-led team fell to 0-2 to begin a season. To make things worse, both losses came by the hands of fellow AFC contenders, with the second one being a blowout in Kansas City and now Peyton will miss 2 weeks with a broken wrist. Yeah, the Broncos have a good team and they are more than able to bounce back, but WILL they do it? Can Osweiler lead them to avoid a 0-4 start?

Teams like Detroit and Philadelphia had some good bounces in this week's rankings after beating their respective division rivals, Minnesota and Dallas. Others like the Niners, meanwhile, are doing exactly what was expected from them.

There are also some surprises, like the perenially bad Cleveland Browns, who's 2-0 to begin the season. Yeah, their wins came against the Titans and the Jets... but a W is a W, right?

Week 03 - Matchup Preview

Matchup Preview *|* September 27, 2015
@
Pittsburgh Steelers
(1-1, 0-1 Away)
St. Louis Rams
(0-2, 0-1 Home)
Game Notes
After losing to the defending champs on the opening night, the Steelers got their first win against the 49ers last week. Now, they visit a fellow NFC West team as they come to Saint Louis trying to make it two straight. For the home side, it will be a tough test for the defense as the three-headed monster of Ben Roethlisberger, Le'veon Bell and Antonio Brown are way better than the duo McCoy-Morris, who defeated the Rams last week.

*I'm sorry, I forgot to see the stats and I'm already playing the game
