DETROIT, MI - Matthew Stafford was never known for his durability but this year he tried to change that. Stafford was playing through a sprained shoulder for two weeks before getting concussed on a shot by Giants defensive tackle Johnathan Hankins. When that happened, Ford Field got incredibly hushed as Stafford was helped off the field. A few moments later, the stadium erupted as backup Tim Tebow came onto the field as it was finally Tebow Time in Detroit.

A few plays before that bone-jarring, brain-rattling hit on Stafford Odell Beckham Jr. scored his first of two touchdowns on a 69 yard completion after getting by Darius Slay.
Young Lions defensive lineman Ezekiel Ansah was all over Eli Manning. The BYU product up his sack total on the season from 1 to 4 with a 3-sack performance against left tackle Will Beatty. Ansah finished with one more sack than the entire Giants team tonight.
OBJs second touchdown of the day came on a 23-yard post against rookie defensive back Jackson Ingram, who almost came down with the interception on the play. A Lions defensive back who did come down with an INT on the day however, was Glover Quin on a pass intended for Rueben Randle.
The most impressive touchdown catch of the day however was reserve receiver on the Lions Corey Fuller going up over two defenders to reel in the touchdown, when the Lions still had a chance at coming back. Fuller, who was in danger of being cut this preseason, had 0 catches heading into week 3, the receiver now has 3 catches for 70 yards and a touchdown. That's 47 more yards on the same amount of catches as the underwhelming offensive weapon that is De'Anthony Thomas.
"Matt (Stafford) is expected to play next week against the Saints. No matter which way you look at it, the Saints are 3-1 so it's surely going to be a rough game." Lions HC Brandon Olsen commented.
Former Detroit Lion DeAndre Levy finished with 6 tackles, including 2 for a loss.
DETROIT, MI - The 1-3 Lions are preparing to host the 3-1 Saints in Detroit.
Reporter #1: Is Stafford going to play this Sunday, coach?
Olsen: He's extremely probable, his concussion symptoms are all gone, his shoulder is slowly but surely getting better, he'll most likely be good to go.
Reporter #2: What are you going to do about the struggling ground game? It's been four games and Ameer Abdullah averages 10 carries for 33.3 yards per game and 3.3 yards per carry.
Olsen: I'm well aware of our struggles running the ball. We're just going to have to try and pound away early and often. We just signed Mike Gillislee out of Florida a few days ago. We also contacted Storm Johnson out of UCF and Andre Williams out of Boston College.
Reporter #3: Is it time to start considering tanking for another high pick this year?
Olsen: I'll never tank, we still have a decent shot at playoffs and we're going to try and turn things around, starting with New Orleans.
Reporter #4: How do you plan on stopping guys like Drew Brees, Matt Forte, Marques Colston, Brandin Cooks, and Jermichael Finley?
Olsen: We're going to try and keep them off the field as much as possible and then force some turnovers.
AUSTIN, TX - Ray Gordon is the #1 QB in college football...or so we thought. Ray Gordon set school records last season for passing yards, rating, and touchdowns. Through three games this season, he has just 537 yards, 5 touchdowns, and two interceptions, matching his total from last season. The 6'3" 219 pound dual-threat is still having success on the ground though, with 412 rushing yards, 3 touchdowns, and 8 yards per carry. A projected early first round pick, if his poor play continues, his stock may take a big hit, or he may be asked to change positions, which some draftniks already suggest.
MOBILE, AL - Jason Thomas was projected as the #2 QB in the draft, but that may be changing. Along with Texas QB Ray Gordon struggling, Jason Thomas has been lighting up the college football world. Against USC in Week 1, his first career start, Thomas threw for 482 yards, 5 touchdowns, 0 interceptions, with an 87% completion percentage to go with 2 carries for 16 yards and 2 touchdowns, however he has accrued 6 unsportsmanlike conduct and taunting penalties so far this season. The 6'2' 225 pound Miami native came to Alabama three years ago and sat behind both A.J. McCarron and Jake Coker, winning two national titles, before earning himself the starting spot. Thomas has been recorded saying "If we don't win the chip this year, I'm out to the league!" If Jason Thomas keeps up his excellent play and shuts his mouth, there may be nothing Ray Gordon can do to be the first QB off the board in 2017.

DETROIT, MI - The Detroit defense finally showed up in a huge way this week. The secondary forced four Drew Brees interceptions, 3 forced by Quandre Diggs. Although Diggs only came down with two, he popped another one up to rookie defensive back Jackson Ingram. Both Ingram and Diggs are now second in the NFL with three interceptions each, behind only Texans rookie Jaleel McNeil, whom Matthew Stafford helped greatly, feeding him two interceptions back in their week 2 showdown. The Philadelphia Eagles, who face off against the Lions in week 14, are the last remaining team in the NFL with 0 interceptions forced.

One of Quandre Diggs interceptions along with his breakup leading to Jackson Ingrams interception
Darius Slay also saw himself reel in an interception on the future Hall-of-Famer late in the fourth quarter, setting up the game-winning drive. The secondary also saw an interesting play when defensive back Don Carey caught a touchdown pass from punter Sam Martin. Carey also had no problem celebrating for the home crowd.
The year of Ebron has slowed down since the early going of the season but the young tight end out of North Carolina still made plays when they counted. Ebron is first in the NFL in receptions, receiving yards, and tied for first amongst all tight ends with 27-319-3. For those wondering, Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski has 23-237-2 so far. Ebron caught a 65-yard touchdown pass on the first play of the final drive, but it was brought back by a Ben Jones hold, Ebron had 2 more catches for 31 yards on the final drive.
There is such a thing as too greedy, as Quandre Diggs allows a late touchdown to Marques Colston. Diggs was targeted 3 times, allowing one catch for 15 yards and a touchdown, but forcing two interceptions.
Ezekiel Ansah didn't quite live up to his performance against the Giants, but he still played a tremendous game. Ansah was always in the face of Brees, forcing off throws, forced passes, and missed reads. Ansah finished with 2 sacks as opposed to his 3 last week, to rack up 6 on the year.
Ansah with his 5th and 6th sack on the season.
Corey Fuller continued his big catch-streak, reeling in a late game touchdown to trim the lead from 10 to 3. Fuller is expected to see more targets as we're told the Lions now have full trust in the receiving threat out of Virginia Tech.
Lions head coach Brandon Olsen decided not to speak with the media after the game, as he was celebrating the upset victory with the team.
Mason Finley kicks the game-winning 37-yard field goal.
