Obviously, the INT situation needs to be addressed IMMEDIATELY.
Most definitely it was a rough outing. Mr. Jack knows he will be out bell cow but he can only do so much by himself. As far as the INTs you will see something about this in the next edition of Coaches Corner. Thanks for checking as always

Re: #GRAMFAM: A Grambling State Dynasty (NCAA '14)

We are here with the Grambling's Head Coach Matt Roman for this edition of Coaches Corner.

Shreveport Times:It was your first game at the FBS level. What was your take on the game?

Coach Roman: I will call it what it was a not so good performance. We never gave up but we didn't fight off blocks or open running lanes. This is will be season of taking steps.

Gramblinite: Coach, the passing game was lacking as Farris threw for 5 INTs. What is the plan for him going forward?

Coach Roman: Jeff Farris did not have a great outing that is for sure. He did a couple things well but you can not turn the ball over like that. He is young and will get better. Coach Walker has re-opened the QB battle between him and Tramaine Blake. As you Blake lead us to our only scoring drive after he was put in to start the 4th Quarter.

Sun Belt News: How do you plan to use the Bye Week before heading to New Mexico?

Coach Roman: We will use this time to fine tune things we did right, while working on some of the things we did wrong. Each week we want to get better. We will also be out on the recruiting trail visiting some High Schools.

The News Star: How is the recruiting trail looking so far?

Coach Roman: Coach Huff is doing a good job of getting the word out about what have to offer here at Grambling. I know we lead for a kid or 2 but I will not go into details right now as I will save that for when Coach has his recruiting sit down.

Gramblinite: What would you like prospective recruits to know about Grambling?

Coach Roman: We may not be a household name but one day we will be. We are going to do something special just believe in the process.

Shreveport Times: Your Defense played pretty well. Do expect the same next game?

Coach Roman: I would think so. They were out matched last week but they where in position to make plays all game. I expect them to still be a step ahead of our Offense for now.

Yeah, it was not a good day for us in the passing game. We have to do a better job of taking care of the ball going forward...thanks for checking in

QB Cole Gautsche (SO): Strained Back- 11 Weeks
Game Notes
Grambling travels to take on the New Mexico Lobos. Both teams rank are looking to get their first win of the season. Grambling is coming off a poor week 2 performance in which they turned the ball over 5 times. They will try to get Running Back Trae Jack going. While Offensive Coordinator Nate Walker has said both of his QBs will play this week. New Mexico will try to counter with two nice Running Backs of their own in Carrier and Pressley. Who will come out on top in this? Who will be left still searching for their first victory next game?
