Kent, OH -- Western Michigan came away with another big victory this week over Kent State. Despite troubles in the passing game, the Broncos were able to put up 438 yards of offense, 308 of which came on the ground. Kent State was held to just 121 yards, 22 of which came through the air in a dominant performance by the Broncos defense. Coach Scott must be happy with the direction his team is headed. We caught up with him after the game.
Walker: "Coach great performance by the defense today, how did your defense make it happen?"
Scott: "Well it started up front. Our front four dominated the line of scrimmage and that allows us to do some more exotic things. We were incredible out there today."
Walker: "Tom Flacco did not have his greatest game today. Any concerns there?"
Scott: "Well I've been saying all year that we need to improve in the pass game. And we still have work to do there."
Walker: "On the other hand, the run game seems to be getting better every week. How is that happening?"
Scott: "Well the biggest thing is that the guys up front are really starting to get it. We figured it wouldn't be instantaneous, but we came here with the goal of establishing this team as a power run team, and we're really starting to do that."
Walker: "Coach thanks for your time as always!"
The Broncos start their 5 game homestand next week, hosting Toledo. Many of the experts have the Broncos favored in all 5 games. If WMU comes out of this homestand 9-1 then it's very likely we will see the Broncos in Detroit again this year.

#6 Stanford handles #16 Washington State 35-7
Senior QB Logan Woodside will lead a solid Toledo team in to Kalamazoo on Saturday. With a 48% completion percentage, 8 TDs and 3 INTs, Woodside is one of the top QBs in the MAC. Terry Swanson also balances the Toledo offense. With no injuries, and fresh off a big win against Ball State we expect Toledo to keep this one close. Score Prediction: 28-24 WMU

Just wanted to pop in here and say that I'll be reading along, much like virtually every other dynasty.
I love MACtion too and Western is in a really good spot even with the new coach and skill players. Looking forward to seeing this dynasty progress.. keep at it!
