A New Era: The Dallas Cowboys (M18)

Bouncing Back

In 2016, the Cowboys exceeded expectations having moved on from Tony Romo. Together, Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott proved that the franchise was in capable hands despite being rookies. Although the team ultimately came up short in playoffs, they're sure to have grown from that experience and with an improved defense, the Cowboys should be 'real' contenders in 2017.

Under the steady leadership of head coach Jason Garrett, entering his 7th full season as head coach, the team looks to defend their division crown and challenge for the Super Bowl.

Re: A New Era: The Dallas Cowboys (M18)

Cowboys Finish 2017 Season 8-8, Look Ahead to 2018 Season

Tried as they might, the Cowboys couldn’t get out of their own way this past season. Although they missed playoffs, they seem to have hit on their draft picks with contributions from Taco Charlton, Chido Awuzie, Jourdan Lewis, and Xavier Woods.

With the infusion of youth on this team and continued progression of the 2016 draft class, this team should be on its way back to the playoffs in 2018.

If there’s a question mark on this team, it’s at safety, linebacker, and surprisingly, quarterback. QB may come as a surprise, but Dak took a step back in 2017 and the passing game struggled most games. Look for Dallas to make moves in these areas in the offseason.
