NICHOLS’ LEG SENDS SEAHAWKS INTO CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME

Seattle’s Ray Claybrooks started out on the worst note possible. He threw an interception on his first pass attempt. Lucky for him his defense stood tall and held the Cowboys to a field goal to strike first on the scoreboard. Seattle answered on their next possession as Lynch plunged in from 1 yard. At the end of the first, Jones rushed for a absurd 78 yard run up the right sideline as he weaved through traffic for the score. Dallas led 10-7.

The second quarter belonged to the Hawks. First, it was a Nichols field goal. Dallas got their next possession, but Maualuga has a different idea. He hit Jones DP hard he coughed up the ball and Antonio Pierce grabbed it and ran it back for the 57 yard score. Claybrooks used his timeouts perfectly and added a 1 yard sneak before time expired on the quarter. Seattle led 24-10 at the half.

The third quarter was dueling touchdowns. First it was Dallas’ Choice who scored on a 8 yard run. Then 4 minutes later Claybrooks found Smith on a seam route for a score of his own. The fourth quarter began with a 31-17 Seahawks lead.

With 8 minutes to go, Romo found Anderson for a touchdown, and followed it up with a Witten 2-point conversion, Dallas was down 31-24. Nichols made a field goal with 1:02 left in the game to push the lead to 34-24. Dallas’ Romo tossed a touchdown to Dez Bryant in the back of the end zone with :30 seconds to go. Luckily Seattle recovered the onside kick and knelt the ball.

Seattle won the game by a score of 34-31. The game ball was given to Antonio Pierce for his fumble recovery for a touchdown and kicker Nichols for his game winning field goal.

“I’m proud of my guys, with their drive to never give up. Next, we face Carolina and the talented Vince Young and company” — Coach Carroll

SEATTLE MAKES BACK-TO-BACK SUPER BOWL APPEARANCE AFTER PANTHERS GET DE-CLAWED

Seattle won the coin toss and deferred until the second half. Their defense set the tone as they forced a punt. Seattle used up 4 minutes of the first quarter as Claybrooks ran it in from 1 yard as he called his own number to end the first quarter with a 7-0 lead.

The second quarter was all Seahawks as they put up 20 points before the half had come. It started out a few minutes in when Nichols knocked home field goal and another a minute later. Seattle’s defense got back-to-back interceptions; Th e second was by Nick Reed who ran it back for a defensive touchdown. The half ended as Claybrooks connected with tight end Smith for a 31 yard touchdown up the seam. Seattle led 27-0 at the half.

The third quarter was better for the Panthers as Steve Smith blew by Cason for a long 78 yard touchdown from Vince Young. The two teams exchanged field goals the end the third quarter Seahawks leading 30-10.

The Panthers did their best to make a game of it by scoring 20 points in the final frame. Their defense wasn’t up to the task as they allowed Seattle to keep pace and drop 17 points of their own. Carolina’s Williams ran it in from 1, but Lunch responded but taking the next play from scrimmage up the right sideline for a soul crushing 88 yard touchdown. Steve Smith caught his second touchdown from 8 yards out, but Seattle’s Nichols got a field goal to keep the pressure up. LaFell caught a touchdown to get the game within 10 points at 40-30, but McCoy made sure the game was over by catching a 40 yard touchdown to end the game at 47-30.

With this victory, Seattle would be heading to Indianapolis , to play in Lucas Oil Stadium. They are seeking their second Lombardi Trophy in as many years.

Re: Pete Carroll’s PAC-12 Pipeline (PS2 Madden Franchise)

Seattle once again boasts the best passing attack in the National Football League this season, led by rookie phenom Ray Claybrooks. The high octane offense will be facing off against a stingy defense that has only allowed the opposition to score an average of 17.8 points per game. The Jets know how to attack the quarterback, but so do the Seahawks as both team rank top-15 in sacks

This game will come down to whether or not the Jets defense can step up, and ground the Seahawks air game, and can force the rookie signal caller into long downs and force the rookie to make some mistakes.

SEAHAWKS DEFENSE GROUNDS JETS TO CLAIM 2ND LOMBARDI TROPHY ON ARM OF RAY CLAYBROOKS

Seattle rookie signal caller was compared to the veteran arm of Sanchez. The rookie played like the vet, while Sanchez looked to be ‘too small for the moment’ according to the play-by-play analysts.

The game started out horrible for Sanchez, as his first pass was intercepted and ran back by Marcus Trufant for the defensive score. Then, after the Seattle defense forced a punt, the Jets defense committed pass interference in the end zone. Two plays later, Ray called his own number, and ran a QB sneak to go up 14-0 early.

The second quarter was all Seahawks as after the Jets got a field goal off a Claybrooks interception throw, the Seattle offense put up back-to-back touchdown drives. Claybrooks found McDonald for the 40 yard score followed up as Turner got the step on his man for a 37 yard score. New York took their following drive to find Santonio Holmes, from 52 yards, for his first of four touchdown catches of the contest. Seattle ended the first half as Gronkowski scored on a 1 yard plunge.

After the Seattle defense gave up a humiliating touchdown scramble to Mark Sanchez of 40 yards to start the third quarter; they buckled down and remained stalwart until the 4th quarter.

Seattle’s defense created 3 interceptions. Two were drive killers; one on a tipped pass by Trufant which Thurmond nabbed; the other by Cason in the red zone. Settle turned all three takeaways into touchdowns, as Claybrooks used pinpoint passing to pick apart the Jets defense. Claybrooks found McCoy for a 23 yarder, Gronk for a short 7 yarder then lastly McDonald’s second of the night from 49 on blown coverage.

The fourth quarter the Jets offense came alive, but the Seattle offense could not be stopped. Santonio Holmes was a one man show as he continuously burned Seattle defenders for impressive scores of 75, 74, and 91. He was all the points the Jets. Sandwiched between all of the long bombs, Ray Claybrooks showed off his own arm talents by finding George from 39 and 42 yards.

Nick Reed helped the cause by strip-sacking Sanchez which Banta-Cain scooped up and ran back for a 39 yards score.

The final score was Seahawks 84, Jets 38.

Ray Claybrooks was named MVP of the Super Bowl by going 29/47, for 566 yards, 7 TD/ 2 INT, and 2 Rushing TD

Re: Pete Carroll’s PAC-12 Pipeline (PS2 Madden Franchise)

2011 EXPENSE REPORT, STADIUM UPGRADES AND COACHING CAROUSEL

John Schneider was given the total expense report for the previous year. He was shocked as he had actually LOST money this past year. It was mind-boggling how he made money the first year as he had cut so many on the roster to meet Pete Carroll’s lofty, crazy ideas and demands.

The Seahawks organization has spent $254 Million total, $225 Million in player salaries. The organization only took in $225 Million with $142 Million via the ‘NFL Shared Revenue’ act. They lost a total of $28.7 Million dollars After all the finances were in order, Seattle had a total of $50 Million to spend towards stadium upgrades, retaining coaches, and other team needs.

————

It was no surprise that the Coordinators for the Seahawks would be prime targets for potential head coaching vacancies around the NFL. The Oakland Raiders extended an offer to the Defense Coordinator, Sanders tp become their next head coach. Seattle wasn’t about to let that happen and offered him a 3-year extension worth $3.98M per year. He accepted the offer, as he knew the talent he had in Seattle.

Oakland then tried to pilfer the offensive coordinator away from the 2-time Champions. They offered their offensive brain trust $4.1 Million per year for 3 years, to stay for the remainder of Coach Carroll’s current contract. Hohn Schneider wasn’t a fool to let either of them go.

It was reported that Seattle would not be extended dong the contract of their Special Teams coach. The Hawks would then turn their eyes towards Special Teams brain, Mr. Marciano. They offered him a 2 year contract for $250K, but he rejected it. Seattle then came back with a 3 year contract for $310K per year, which Mr. Marciano happily accepted in hopes to be part of a 3-peat championship team and culture.

As an appreciation for the fans continued support, and selling out multiple games the Hawks organization are upgrading the stadium. They have decided to give each individual seat its own cup holders. As well as a gourmet coffee shop, to supply their rabid fans with local and specialty blends. The cost per ear for these upgrades is a meager $550K per year, but John said “The fans deserve it, and they helped us claim 2 Lombardi trophies!”

OTHER COACHING MOVES AROUND THE NFL

Jeff Fisher, $3.58M/3yrs (HC, BUF)
Dick LeBeau, $3.33M/3yrs (HC, TEN)

Perennial Pro Bowler Rey Lewis announces today that he took his “Last Ride” with his band of brothers on the Baltimore Ravens. Not a single fan, player, nor coach can deny that Rey Lewis is a first ballot and unanimous Half of Fame inductee.

Ray Lewis finished his 16 year career, all with the Baltimore Ravens for one of the scariest and formidable defenses in the league. His career highlights are plenty; including:

11x Pro Bowler
7x AP first team All-Pro
3x AP second team All-Pro
2x AP Defensive Player of the Year (2000 and 2003)
2x AFC Champion (2000 and 2010)

He finished his ‘iron man’ career with over 2000 total tackles, 20 forced fumbles, 30 interceptions and 40 sacks.
