Surely just disconnecting the PS3 from the internet by pulling the cable out will let us install fine?

Sadly i wont be finding out till after work at 7pm!

Ninj/roolz, yours should be with you soon?

Matt - nope, it's nothing to do with internet connection. My PS3 wasn't connected when I turned it on - it's Y2K all over again..if you've got an old fat PS3 model the chances are that it will reset and games (especially MLB10) won't work.

Sony need to get a fix out for this asap...slim ps3 are unaffected. It's an operating system problem, not a PSN problem.

The forums are going crazy, so much so Sony EU forum is now down.

Re: Anyone from Europe ordered the game? (Traditional thread)

Yeah, some research has shown me that now Ninj

          Everyone READ THIS PLEASE.

Here's what's going on right now: something with the PS3's internal clock has borked in some pre-slim models. This is not a PSN issue; it has to do with your PS3's clock. This clock is NOT related to the OS clock. It seems to be a leap year bug. Setting your clock ahead will do nothing. All PS3s around the world were affected at the exact same time.

          Does this affect me?

-If you have a Slim PS3, you're good to go. Continue playing it as normal.
-If you have a "fat" PS3, you may be affected. Some fat PS3s have worked ok, but it seems a good majority have been bugged.

          What does this bug mean?

-If affected, your date and time has been set to a random past date. This prevents you from signing into PSN, playing any PSN games, or using any DLC. Your trophies will also not display correctly or be able to sync.

          How do I fix it?

-You can't. Even if you don't sign into PSN, it won't help. This is a hardware issue.

          So, what do I do?

-Wait 24 hours. Other products that have had similar bugs have corrected themselves after the "bugged" day. On Monday around 8pm central time, all PS3s will automatically correct themselves...maybe.

-If that doesn't work, we'll need a firmware update from Sony, which should be a pretty important priority for them right now.

          Did I lose my data/themes/etc?

Your save data/games/dlc/themes are fine. They'll be fixed when the PS3 is fixed. Trophies are uncertain right now, but they'll be fine if you've synced them before the PS3 was bugged. Unsynced trophies are an unknown right now.

If I have a bugged PS3, can I still use it?

It's probably not a good idea, as I have no idea what will happen to the trophies you earn during the bugged time. Movies/media will work fine.

So there ya go, my handy FAQ.
Surely this will get sorted asap, i cannot, absolutely cannot believe we can have this game a day early and not be able to play it! :o

I hope they fix this problem soon, typical I thought with The Show just around the corner.

The only saving grace for me so far is that I've managed to reset the system's clock and it is now working properly.

Congrats for those who have the game, will we be able to get some impressions from you soon?

                Well done VG+ AGAIN!

Yes, it's affecting the fat older PS3..the slims are ok....trying not to speculate, and looking at this with a half empty glass, this could take Sony ages to sort, especially if they have to release a firmware upgrade.

I'm pretty sure it will their highest priority but this is so frustrating.

This bug is BAD news. I ordered my copy of the Show today from Play Asia with expediated shipping, fingers crossed Sony sorts this out ASAP.

This kind of foul up is so bad its almost comical.

Not ideal, but it's comforting to know that I'm not alone....just unbelievable..still no info yet from Sony....hope it's not a recall, if it is, then I'll have to buy a slim, wrong I know, but just need my fix.

I've tried to reset my date, some games work, MLB 07 & 08 do, but 09 doesn't so I'm pretty sure 10 won't...I don't think I'll try it..just got to wait it out, or go to Tesco's and buy myself a slim - a drastic measure, but....
