For graphics I am slightly concerned but hope it will be fine. I wonder if they have been doing stadiums with more detail and just downscaling for PS3 or if they have to redo a lot of stuff? What little they have shown looks great so far. At least they don't have to release by launch.

All I really want is better textures, lighting, and improved stadium ambiance along with good IQ for 2014. Nothing super photo realistic but surely a step up in lighting and major texture work. MSAA is welcome for jaggies if they can afford it. 1080p 60fps is a given. I have it preordered.

Will be seeing whatever AA solution Sony has going in the launch games soon. Maybe that is good enough idk. The devs for KZ had said they wanted to get a nicer custom solution in rather than the dreadful vanilla FXAA which smears everything. Baseball isn't the most demanding of games in terms of raw power so....

I REALLY hope this game doesn't use vanilla FXAA for jaggies.

One thing that has always bothered me about franchise was re-signing all the players. I hate how it takes so long to re-sign every single last player (especially minor-leaguers). A way to fix this would be a small check box next to each player's name. You would press "select all" at the top maybe, and all the boxes would be checked, and the game would automatically offer the players a reasonable salary that they will most likely accept. The players you do not want to resign or who you want to change the game's offer for, you could just manually uncheck. I find offering a contract to every minor leaguer very tedious.

Just a minor thing but I hope they include the Ball Park village beyond the left field wall of Busch Stadium.

Yes....as it was part of the GM goals and duties that I REALLY hope make it back into the game in some way. Especially if it means being fired and able to be picked up by another club(that's sort of a hybrid GM/manager role I guess).
I forget which version had it('09...'10?)...but I loved that.(even though the actual goals for player personnel where a little weird)

I remember playing a 30 year franchise in Madden where I was coach for three different teams.
The Lions fired me after 7 years, and then the Chargers after 5.
Eventually I caught on with the Bucs where I led them to 3 Super Bowls over 15 years.
So there were 3 seasons where I didn't even have a job. I thought that was awesome.

I'm interested to see how the touch pad is utilized in the Show 14. It would be cool if that's how you control the defense or it allows you to quickly go to the bullpen. Definitely a cool feature of the PS4 controller

The Lions fired me after 7 years, and then the Chargers after 5.
Eventually I caught on with the Bucs where I led them to 3 Super Bowls over 15 years.
So there were 3 seasons where I didn't even have a job. I thought that was awesome.

I think that is fine...AS AN OPTION. I think most of us want to pick a team and just stick with them. I always thought it was stupid having goals like have a rookie of the year when the goal should just be to win games and stay in budget doing so

Absolutely.
But it'd be nice to give people like myself and Knight an option to be fired if we underperform.

I just thought it was really cool how after I got fired from my first gig as the Lions coach, I had to wait 2 years before only 1 team (Chargers) became interested in me.
Meanwhile, my brother who spent the entire 30 years as the Dolphins head-coach would always have way more offers to move to other teams because he always had a winning record and made the playoffs nearly every season.

Simming 30 years with my bro was a lot of fun knowing that you could be canned at any given time.
I'd love to see that dynamic added to The Show's repertoire.

How about using it as a zone hitting mechanic? Similar to Fifa's touch pad shooting on Vita or super training in Pokemon... Honestly I think that would be really cool.

This was one of my favorite things in the NCAA games. Can't cut it as a head coach? Find a job with a bad team as a D-coordinator or O-coordinator. It would be cool to be just a pitching coach and have to work your way up to being a manager and control all aspects of the game.

I would like an audible/visual fan reaction to a former player, particularly in RTTS mode, returning with his new team. Like booing or some other angry reaction.

I've never really thought about it before, but I think I would love an auto substitution option, a lot like they have and basketball and football games. Where I am allowed to let the manager make the decisions of substitutions.

They are probably close up shots. I SCEA do a great job of transitioning the Show to next gen unlike those others sports title that we all play. I might just keep my ps3, since the PS4 is not backwards compatible.

Not sure if this has been mentioned or not, but I sure do wish that in the all star games, players wore their team jerseys like in real life. Would look so tight. I've wanted that for years.

I remember a long time ago in Madden (I think it was Madden...lol...), players wore their team's helmets in the Pro Bowl--was too tight.
