If it worked kind of like it does in Dynasty League Baseball, that would be a great addition. Basically, have each Ballpark set up to react to what real life weather does and have a roll of the dice. I know it's frustrating for the Lord to make it start raining during the seventh inning during a comeback when the Rangers are playing, but that's Baseball for you.

True, maybe forcing you to end the game would be a bit much! hahahaha! You know guys it's funny, I got a ps4, and I can't wait for the show, it's too bad being visually impaired doesn't let me fully appreciate how awesome this game is going to look!!1458, not counting playoffs, that's the number of games in a row I haven't missed! Re: PS4 Discussion (MLB The Show 14)
Would rainouts or doubleheaders be anything other than a nuisance when put into a videogame (or change much of anything really)? I know I'd be pretty upset if I lost a game because the CPU decided to make it start raining in the 7th inning. I'd be fine with implementing poor weather conditions and have it affect the gameplay (balls hydroplane on wet grass, the wind picks up, etc), but having games cut short because of a randomly-generated event wouldn't work at all in my opinion.
What's the difference between that and any other randomly determined event that's a part of the game?
Crucial errors, pitches that hang at "just the worst time", CPU hitter getting a great swing on a great pitch to cap off a rally, critical injury to your ace/important player, etc?
Put it in the game (like wind), and put a slider on it (like wind). Now folks can decide how much, if any, chance of there being rain/a rain delay/rain out. Weather in an outdoor game is just as much a part of the game as the field and park it's played in, imo."Some people call it butterflies, but to him, it probably feels like pterodactyls in his stomach." --Plesac in MLB18Comment

Re: PS4 Discussion (MLB The Show 14)
I wouldn't have a problem with rain delays or cancellations being in the game, just as long as the feature could be disabled through some sort of preferences menu item. Likewise one thing I wouldn't mind seeing in the game was a quick warm up on the mound when you replace a pitcher in the middle of the game from the bullpen, just as long as the warmup feature could be disabled for those who don't want to see it. There are so many little things that could be added to the game, just as long as people have the ability to disable them because not everyone wants rain delays nor do they want to see pitcher warm ups.Comment

Re: PS4 Discussion (MLB The Show 14)
That's why I think it would be cool. After all, we want it as close to real life as possible. I'm just keeping my fingers crossed for a new play-by-play man.1458, not counting playoffs, that's the number of games in a row I haven't missed! Go Yanks!Comment

Re: PS4 Discussion (MLB The Show 14)
Isn't imitating real life the thing that makes mlb the show so good though? Now granted I can't speak so much for the graphics of the game myself being visually impaired, but I thought realism is what makes the game. I think of it like it used to be back in the day, if you wanted a baseball sim, you'd play mvp, mlb, or all-star baseball, if you wanted arcade baseball or unrealistic gmeplay, mlb slugfest would be your game. What I guess I'm getting at is for sports gans, you want it as close to the real life game as it can be.1458, not counting playoffs, that's the number of games in a row I haven't missed! Re: PS4 Discussion (MLB The Show 14)
MLB The Show is my favorite game every year. Please don't do what NBA2K14 did and take out features to get game out on time. Hopefully there is plenty of time to get everything in there. I really like NBA2k14 but was surprised so much was taken out in order to get the game on the shelf for launch.Comment

Re: PS4 Discussion (MLB The Show 14)
If it was something that could be turned off then rain delays and doubleheaders wouldn't bother me. I don't see how that would improve the game by any means, but if enough people want it then go for it. I just think there's more important things that are in drastic need of work (that trade and free agent logic...ugh).Comment

Re: PS4 Discussion (MLB The Show 14)
I agree Tylerh, rain takes a back seat to things like trade logic and commentary. 8 years of Matt V is enough, we really need someone fresh. If 2k was able to make the commentary as good as they did on ps3, the ps4 should be able to do even more with the memory capability.1458, not counting playoffs, that's the number of games in a row I haven't missed! I SERIOUSLY doubt that's happening.
