Why wouldn't they though, I mean it's still a big part of the game, and we've had the same play-by-play lines for 8 years.

Well....they can certainly do something to mix it up a bit....have the lines that are not heard as much come front and center......better commentator to commentator chatter etc....but there is no way they are ripping out 9 years of audio in Year 1 of the new console release.
Not even a chance.

yes year 1. not 9 years of recorded dialog. thats a ton of lines theyd have to reaccumulate and completely shrink the size of the line database..and isnt that what people are complaining about? People want more variety and the solution is to eliminate the variety available by having one or more of the main commentators removed? doesn't make sense to me or them I suspect.Comment

Nope....Matt V's debut was MLB '06 (the first to carry "The Show" label, had Ortiz on the cover). He was on PS2 before the series moved to PS3.

Yes you're right, he started on ps2, but my point is that in year 1 of ps3, they replaced 9 years of Vin with Matt, so it has been done. I guess for me, sound is so much more a factor being visually impaired. hahahaha! So when you look at it from my point of view, it's likely a bigger complaint for me, just because I never have a problem with the visual look... always looks great to me! hahahaha! btw, if you're wondering, I can see a bit out of my left eye, but nothing out of my right! Doesn't stop me from being awesome in the show!

March can't come quick enough!! The combination of mlb on ps4, and the start of spring training has me so excited! Every year, I love the Super bowl, just because I know 2 weeks after it, Americas national pastime is alive again. Plus this winter is extra long since the Yanks didn't make the playoffs.

But Campbell and Hudler were replaced relatively recently.

I agree. Matt V is a good broadcaster, and does a great job in the game, I just think it's time for a new voice. I know they most likely won't replace him for 14, I just hope the stile of the interaction between the 3 gets an over hall. To me, the Matt has announcing inconsistencies. You can tell that they're separate sentences put together.
Some things I'd like to see (yes, I did read the whole thread):
-more realistic crowd
-ball physics (don't we all?)
-more realistic crowd, how about a fan catching a foul ball?
-bat boys/girls, ball boys/girls
-weather. But how do you do weather? I would say maybe take a few years of historical weather data and use that?
-contract negotiations
-obviously graphical improvements
-personally, I want to see the price setting of things come back, I liked controlling those aspects
-ability to pull an outfielder in to play infield and only have 2 outfielders
-4 man rotation
-catchers still react way too quick to choppers in front of the plate
The only reason I bought a PS3 was for The Show and that's all I ever play even though I have NHL '14.
