I can see fine and hated the lack of commentary as well. We also got the added "feature" of the screen zooming in and out with an "awesome" woosh sound to go with it...ugh.

I love this game. Its a huge part of my life. I spend a lot of time on things that make the experience more enjoyable. I should have more things going on in my life and will soon and I shouldnt care as much as I do, but this is what I choose.

same with guess pitch being changed. Even though you tell us first things are changing doesnt make it any better once it comes out.

And then telling us it isnt "teeball" anymore but adding beginner mode and opening up the timing so the game can be more accessible to the "average fan" where Im now hitting .500 on legend in RTTS didnt make it a whole lot easier than offering the old guess pitch?

SCEA is amazing at making this game. They are great at interacting with community even when we make a mockery of the process sometimes. I am/was a fanboy and proud of it, but even with all the greatness MLB13 added, those few subtractions made not like it near as much as I did MLB12.

Still gonna buy the new console, still gonna buy the new game, still have OS as one of the permanent pages open on my laptop and barely venture outside the show forum but god..I believed it when they said they dont take features out. I appreciate artistic direction, I put up with people that want things i give 2 #$@$% about but sometimes those things make the game just a little better. They wont make the game exactly the way I want it, I just hope that the people that get a little say tend to want the game similar to how I like to play and like to support ideas that come up that may nudge the development in those directions. I hope for the best, as with every year.

Oh yes, I really didn't like the new guess pitch! I had a really good way of using that to help me with my eye at the plate since I can't see that well, and I couldn't do what I've always been able to do. I don't mind giving more options, just don't know why we can't be given the option to use the old system. After all, almost every other option lets us do this. Don't get me wrong, I love many of the options, like how you can have auto fielding on, but still do your own throwing.
1458, not counting playoffs, that's the number of games in a row I haven't missed! Go Yanks!

Interesting article over at PP. Guy always seems to try and scare people.

The exclusive pre-order bonus at Gamestop for MLB 14: The Show was initially disconcerting but given the controversy over next-gen NBA 2K14's damaging Virtual Currency implementation it has become more of a concern on the minds of consumers. Those who pre-order from the retailer will get $20 of the new "Universal In-Game Currency". Use currency

Well that hitting window from 12 ain't coming back and we got that from the horses mouth. All things considered my favorite of the series so far.

What I mean is, carrying over a franchise from Mlb the show '14 to Mlb the show '15 in order to continue your current franchises progress, when you finally finish a season and move onto the second year (in this case 2015 schedule) you will not have an accurate 2015 schedule of opponents, and so on and so forth for year '16, '17. Obviously schedules in real life are not released years in advanced (not even a year in advanced) so I wonder if they can somehow in future additions of the show, add a feature when you can either edit schedules yourself to be accurate or have an option to import schedules from a database once the new schedule is released.

Obviously this would only benefit to those people who would only finish one season before the real life schedules are released, but it would still be a cool feature to consider.
I have to wonder if they are already doing this, because it certainly seems feasible.

I destroyed the baseball last season. If this years game is similar I probably will again.

Great point! Imagine being able to edit your schedule?! That would be dynamite. I hereby second this option being added for future editions. Good forethought. I'm also down for being overloaded in stat overlays during gameplay. More stats! And accurate….

For franchise and season mode I would love to add A hall Of fame, even if it just starts with current players(As they might not be able to unlock the past players). Also be able to choose who goes in for the Hall Of fame for the teams. Just would be an awesome bonus.

And I would like to be able to choose to be owner or gm. Maybe get hired with other teams or fired.

For franchise I would like to create/edit draft classes, so you can get the top 50 or so players for the first couple years.

One of the things I'd love to see upgraded is the sound when the ball is hit. It sounds kind of tinny to me, who knows, maybe it's just my 5.1 surround sound system.

I had the same issue when I hooked up my surround sound, "The Show" sounded tinny, I adjusted settings for a good hour on my system and still could get a good mix out of it, I eventually just switched my surround sound from 7.1 to 5.1 then to plain 2 channel stereo and that seemed to sound the best. However the I'm using a modern 500w Panasonic stereo, with some old speakers my left and right front speakers are 1970s MG-1 maganpanels which to this day sound great and were ahead of their time when they came out.

That's very interesting, being visually impaired, I have a very good "ear," the crack of the bat sounds so different from my tv speakers as opposed to my sony surround system, it's amazing.

Really all I can ask for, since I know the graphics will be overloaded is more uniform slots and maybe more stadiums, although I'm not upset at all with the ones in the game already.

I'm with on that, my ps3 crapped out a month after mlb 13 came out, and I could justified buying another ps3 since the ps4 was right around the corner, I was planning on waiting to get a ps4 until a year or so after they released but once November hit and scea release their teaser for mlb 14 on the ps4, I broke down and bought a ps4 as soon as I found one. can wait for next gen baseball, right now the ps4 sits unused because honestly there isn't really any games on it worth owning, until MLB 14 comes out.
