i know the game isn't going to be released until may but i was curious if anyone knew a timeline of when SCEA was going to release the rosters for each team, like they did last year. or if they're going to do it at all?

Best idea, look at the PS3 rosters. it'll be the same rosters as the PS4 as time goes on..

I remember in MVP 2005 there was this really dark-skinned "fictional" guy with the last name "Freese" (or "Friese" or something along those lines).

Who was that supposed to be? I could never figure it out.

I am actually fine if SOTS is not in the PS4 version of the Show. Last year I put in a lot of effort and work to get the sounds of the show right but realized that I barely listened to the sounds as I would "x" through a lot of the presentation to be able to get through a season. I don't think SOTS is a deal breaker for me either way. Just want to play the damn game already

Maybe with generated counts you wont feel pressured into skipping presentation? I never got into SoTS because i knew games already too a long time without the inbetween stuff. Maybe now I will

Rusty? How about locked tight! I've never played this game. In fact, I haven't played a baseball game since 2004-ish. I don't even remember who made the game. I do plan on getting a PS4 when the game comes out and now I can't wait.

Part of my point is, is there a thread for beginners? And should I rent The Show 13 to acclimated to the game play?

If you have a PS3, YESSSSS, get 13 to play it some and get used to how things work. Guaranteed it'll be very similar if at all different in 14, so it's good practice. And yes, 13 has a beginner difficulty thing we're it's very easy to start and then it get's harder as you get better. So yes, GOOD IDEA.

I really didn't use SOTS until this past year and I regret not using it earlier. I don't get into the walkup music much because I get tired of hearing the same songs over and over but I like to add stadium specific sounds.
New York, New York after home yankee games, Dirty water at fenway and others. Plus I like adding crowd chants. Kinda fun to be in the middle of a game and hear "everybody clap your hands" and my girlfriend starts clapping as she walks through the room. And my favorite the a$$ hole chant I reserve for A.J. Pierzynski and others. Just adds another layer to it.
