Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Can anyone help me upgrade at SS or LF for the Reds? Would love to get rid of Cozart or Ludwick. Willing to part with Cingrani or another starter. Can't seem to get any deals done. Any help would be much appreciated.Comment

Have you considered Nick Franklin/Brad Miller? Other than that Didi Gregorious would be available. Not much elseComment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Okay, narrowed it down to a few possibilities I like. Listed in order of preference:
Blue Jays: Zunino, Cain
Royals: Ackley
Mariners: Rasmus, Lind, Bethancourt
Braves: Herrera/Duffy
Blue Jays: Cain, Miley / Prado+McCarthy
Royals: Rasmus
Diamondbacks: Almonte
Blue Jays: Zunino
Mariners: Lind, Miley, Bethancourt
Diamondbacks: Rasmus
Braves: Delgado
Those are my top three possibilities. I think they're all fair. Thoughts? Those aren't really four team trades, they're three teamers and then an extraneous one-for-one with the Braves. I think the Mariners deal Zunino if they're getting Bethancourt back. Zunino's projected as a sub league average bat this year without the defense to justify it."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Im running with 30 team control, the Giants offered Kyle Crick and Edwin Escobar, both SPs, to the Phillies for Cole Hamels? Should I play God and shoot this trade down or let it go through?
The only reason I want to shut it down as its early May in my franchise and trades usually don't happen this early in the year.#HellaBandz

You'd probably have to use him as a throw in with a guy with a decent amount of value. Say you trade one of your pitchers like Minor, he could be put in the deal instead of a team giving you something like a High C| Brewers | Packers | Angels | Bucks | Badgers |Comment

The second deal I like if Arizona isn't contending. It's an upgrade for the Royals in center, gives the D-Backs a top prospect back, and gets you what you need.
For the third one, I feel the scenario for Arizona is strange. They're giving up two fairly good pitchers, and while Rasmus helps their offense, would the loss of pitching hurt them if they were contending? If they're not contending, trading for Rasmus is even less likely. Either way you'd probably need to assure that he signs a contract before you send him their way.
I'd say Deal 2, Deal 3, Deal 1 in that order, with Deal 2 being my favorite.Comment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Are the DBacks looking to move Didi in real life? I thought he was one of heir top prospects, seems weird that I see his name pop up so often on here as a guy to trade for. I would have thought he was high on their list of guys to keep and build around?
