What do you guys think of Rockies prospect Trevor Story?

In my franchise, the Rockies are in need of a relief pitcher, after injuries to LaTroy Hawkins (out half the season) and Matt Belisle.

I'm the Philies, and I have a a few relievers who have mid/low C trade value. Story's in the mid to low C range in the game, so I was thinking about getting him in return.

Is that fair? I ask because Story (correct me if I'm wrong) used to be one of the Rockies top prospects. Did he fall off that much, or is a little bit of potential still there? He's still young, and I could move him to 2B since I already have J.P. Crawford.

Story is no 9 in the Rockies system in the latest BA handbook. Mentions making adjustments to his swing last season making him come out of his funk as the season went on.

The Cubs are nuts, then.

That's probably the price in May. Come July it'll most likely come down unless they really value the draft pick for losing him.

Nuts? Maybe, but a team being super high on a guy happens all of the time around the league.

Thanks Totte, I may end up doing that. Morgan is definitely expendable. Any suggestions on what relief pitcher I should send their way? Someone like Phillippe Aumont (just noticed his velocity rating was 92) or more?

Your best young arm is probably Bastardo right? And the Rockies have a similar piece in Brothers so he's not a perfect fit even though I think they'd take him. Aumont like you mentioned is a possibility...actually you know what. You said that they were hurting and Belisle/Hawkins was on the DL. How's Mike Adams pitching for you? He could certainly close for the Rockies and provide some veteran presence in the back end of their pen. Adams and Morgan for Story

Your best young arm is probably Bastardo right? And the Rockies have a similar piece in Brothers so he's not a perfect fit even though I think they'd take him. In 13 innings, Adams has allowed 4 runs, walked 2, struck out 8. He's 1-1, and I'm pretty sure that 3 of those earned runs came in one game.

Unless Story is racing through the Rockies system heading for Denver and their injury situation is the same, yes. And if they're in somewhat of a contention

Okay, there's at .500 right now, behind the Diamondbacks and Dodgers, like 3 games out. Like I said, it's still super early, but Adams should help fill the void lost by Hawkins

Im playing as the Giants and would like to move Posey to 1st or 3rd. What can I realistically get for either Belt or Sandoval as far as prospects go? Im also open to trading for a major league starting pitcher. Any suggestions?

To get either you'd have to probably give up one of Cueto/Latos/Bruce/Votto/Chapman (maybe Bailey if you were to give them more w/ him)

Sandoval to the Yankees for Slade Heathcott and Manny Banuelos

Sandoval to the Dodgers for Zach Lee

Sandoval to the D'backs for Chase Anderson and Stryker Trahan

Even with Chris Johnson extended, I believe a contending Braves team would be interested in Sandoval and they could offer up one of their young starters in return. Get JR Graham and Joey Terdoslavich in return. Or settle for C prospect Christian Betancourt and a lower end pitcher

Belt can get you a little more in return.

Bruce for Lindor+Lee+Adams, or Latos for Russell + Covey/Wahl.

Hamilton can play SS in the same way you and I can.

If you move Hamilton to SS, he won't be able to hit OR field.
