Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Adam Dunn falls off a cliff ratings wise and has cinder blocks for feet, literally a speed rating around 10 at the bottom of his decline. With all the defensive shifts he sees, expect a lot of groundouts and double plays. Beware.#HellaBandz

You could get Dunn pretty easily, same with Stubbs. Matt Adams might also interest you

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
If the Orioles are out of it Cruz can probably be had for Franklin and another smaller piece. They have a hole at second that Schoop could eventually fill but I could see them doing this deal because 1. Franklin is more mlb ready and 2. They could always move Schoop to third and have Machado at Short when Hardy leaves. As an O's fan I love Schoop but I think he was a bit rushed. Ideally in this scenario they would be out of it and Cruz would be performing (maybe not as much as IRL) and they would do this deal and deal Hardy. Just my two centsComment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I am almost at the All Star break with the Cardinals and Matt Adams currently has a .198 batting average. Allen Craig is out for the season so I was looking for a replacement for Adams. Anyone have any ideas for a first baseman I could acquire? Would Mauer be available?

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
In my Yankees franchise, I'm only a half game ahead of the Rays as the trade deadline is less than a week away. I'm looking at trading for David Freese, Jed Lowrie, Darwin Barney, or Aaron Hill. Ivan Nova is one of my main trade pieces but he threw a 1 hit shutout against the Orioles and a 3 hit 1 run game against the Reds but still has a 3.86 era. Plus if I trade him the Yankees don't really have any other starting pitchers. Anyone have any suggestions as to who I can trade for these players?Comment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I saw a while back you were looking at catchers, and I don't know if you ever made a deal, but I like the idea of the White Sox getting Doumit. With his eligibility, as the Braves I use him as a plus bat off the bench to rotate giving Gattis, Freeman, and Upton a break. I don't think it would take too much to get him, and a switch hitter is always a plus.Comment

Ryan Howard and Nick Swisher could both be had relatively cheap. And Howard doesn't have his monster contract in the game which is a big plusFormer modder of "Ultimate Rosters" for MVP Baseball 2005.

Ill take a look. What team is he on? Id prob do Flowers for him straight up, sight unseen. If I do go into sell mode, where would good destinations be for Dunn, Konerko, and Lindstrom. Ramirez would go to the Mets for Gee in the event I wave the white flag.
Side note, CPU trading is deplorable, if I didn't step in some of the game best prospects would be traded for middling relief pitchers like Randy Choate. Most recent one was Archie Bradley and AJ Pollock for Michael Bourn. What a joke. Didn't they say trade logic was revamped? I can't tell, its worse than ever before.
Kottaras should be in Cleveland (or the FA list) depending on what roster set you're using.
Dunn should go to a contender as a DH/pinch hitter/1B sub
Ramirez to Mets is a really good fit.
Lindstrom to a contender.
Paulie...you really trading him? Thought you were gonna let him retire with the SoxFormer modder of "Ultimate Rosters" for MVP Baseball 2005.

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Looking for two things for the Orioles. Looking for a SP first and foremost...I want to trade at least Nelson Cruz and would be willing to add in Tommy Hunter if needed. What would I need to give up to get Justin Ruggiano from the Cubs to replace Cruz on my 25 man and be a 4th OF (Quentin Berry is playing out of this world for me and has really made Cruz expendable). A little info...Cruz is batting in the .230 range with 11 hr, 44 rbi in late june, Hunter has a 1.83 era 0-1 record with 19 saves. While doing some searching I came up with this...opinions?
Nats Get:
Nelson Cruz (Werth done for year)
Jonathan Schoop
Os Get:
Danny Espinosa
AJ Cole
possibly Matt Skole
and
Cubs Get:
SP Steve Johnson
Os Get:
Justin RuggianoLast edited by NothingTrivial; 06-17-2014, 05:40 AM.Comment

Johnson for Ruggiano is perfect.
I like the idea of Cruz replacing Werth with the Nationals. I'm just trying to figure out where Schoop would play if Rendon's at 2B, Desmond at SS and Zimmerman at 3B. Would you move Zimmerman to LF or 1B?
The Nats won't part with AJ Cole for a rental like Cruz but you could probably get SkoleFormer modder of "Ultimate Rosters" for MVP Baseball 2005.

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Yeah, with Schoop being a year away, and LaRoche still there I thought I would let them finish the year out that way and when/if LaRoche isn't resigned I would move Zimm to 1B with a secondary of LF or vice versa, with Rendon moving over to 3b. It would essentially be schoop replacing espinosa at 2b in 2015. I would just keep Schoop, but I absolutely rake with Espinosa and it just so happens that he would fit into my lineup in Baltimore.Last edited by NothingTrivial; 06-17-2014, 07:11 AM.Comment
