It would essentially be schoop replacing espinosa at 2b in 2015. I would just keep Schoop, but I absolutely rake with Espinosa and it just so happens that he would fit into my lineup in Baltimore.

    Sounds like a plan

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread

I'm in late-May in my Mets franchise, and even though I'm sitting in first, I'm looking at trades for either buying or selling (there's only a 5.0 game difference between first and last place).

If I decide to sell, what could I get for these players?

      Chris Young (.333 AVG, 11 HR, 26 RBI, 5 SB, .617 SLG)

      Curtis Granderson (.336 AVG, 13 HR, 28 RBI, 4 SB, .644 SLG)

      Dillon Gee (6-0, 64.1 IP, 1.12 ERA, 0.79 WHIP, 2.440 DIPS)

They've all been playing out of their minds and I think I could sell high. Thanks for the input!

If your sitting in first and don't mind giving up some young talent, I'd recommend dealing some prospects for an all star caliber player. What's the rest of your rotation and lineup look like? Do you need help in any particular area?

I don't want to give up too much young talent because I think that in the next few years, I won't be able to contend without it. I've got about 6 players in my lineup playing like crazy, and 3 starters pitching way over their heads.

That being said, do you have any suggestions on players I could target?

You're in late-May, just wait. Deadline is July 31st so you have two months. A lot could happen between now and then.

To start, what positions are you looking to upgrade? That'll help get a great, catered response that should set you up with good additions, the guys around here certainly know their stuff.

On a unrelated note to your trades, do you play every game with Gee? I had him when I had a throwaway Mets franchise to pass time, and he was lights out. So easy to pitch with him and he has great stuff.

I would assume that you need a first basemen? Duda is decent but you could probably do better. While he may be terrible at fielding, if you need a power bat I recommend Adam Dunn. You can get him pretty cheaply. If you prefer someone a little younger than maybe Chris Carter.

I don't know if you're saying Dunn is younger than Carter or if you meant "then" lol

One area that I could use some help in is my bullpen, I've still got guys like Valverde and Farnsworth in there

And yeah, I'm playing all 162 so every game with Gee. He's been great for me so far.

Duda's actually doing really well so far, hitting .288 with 10 homers and 33 RBI.

                        DBacks franchise:

I want to unload Daniel Hudson. Would like someone close to as good as his rating (81 Overall). Any ideas?

What position would you ideally want? How's Hudson performing? What Teams need a pitcher in your franchise?

I need a SP. Hudson hasn't been doing all that well for me. Having some control problems. Most teams in my Franchise are looking for a SP (Trade Block)

With his eligibility, as the Braves I use him as a plus bat off the bench to rotate giving Gattis, Freeman, and Upton a break. I don't think it would take too much to get him, and a switch hitter is always a plus.
What you consider fair compensation? Jeff Keppinger ripped up his knee and I had to call up Semien so Ramirez and Beckham probably won't be going anywhere.

If you need a SP and Hudson isn't performing well I don't think you will be able to deal Hudson for another effective starter. The Sheet doesn't value him too highly, factor in his sub par performance and I can't see a scenario that works out.

Have you thought about calling up Bradley? How's he performing in the minors?
