Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
On second thought, do you think its realistic for the Dodgers to trade Dee Gordon in a deal for Headley? My instinct tells me that given how he's played IRL this year they would not trade him. What do you think?

I don't really want to do a prospect for prospect swap.. Besides Young I have Dillon Gee, he's performing really well so far. What could I get for him?Comment

If the Dodgers were smart, then they wouldn't trade Joc or Dee for a bum like Headley.Last edited by Coper3000; 05-31-2014, 03:39 PM.Comment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I just started a franchise with the Braves and I'm mopping up the mess that is Dan Uggla and BJ Upton. So far I have made these trades:
Cardinals: Uggla, SP Hale, and RP Venters for OF Oscar Teveras. I feel like I gave up a quite a bit for a prospect, but it gave me the chance to move BJ and add another left handed hitter.
Arizona: BJ Upton for SP Randall Delgado. I know the Braves traded him away, but I like his potential and gives me the ability to move either Gavin Floyd or Ervin Santana to a team making a push near the break.
Nationals: 1B Ernesto Mejia (28 70 C) for 2B Danny Espinosa. With Anthony Rendon taking over 2B full time. I feel like I really won on this deal, as Freeman is going nowhere, Mejia is about at his peak, and Espinosa is a switch hitter which gives me a lefty that the Braves really need (7 RHB to begin season).
Right now I'm looking to move Evan Gattis. I really can't seem to get a hit with him and Bethancourt already got called up. I'm looking to add another solid RP to the pen, to make up for the loss of Venters. I'm also willing to add in Gavin Floyd. Any ideas? The White Soxs are currenlty T-28th in home runs, and with their main option being Flowers, I feel that would be a great fit for them. They are also 15th in team ERA, with only one SP below a 3.00 and only two RP below 3.00. Any ideas or other teams would be appreciated.
EDIT: according to the spreadsheet, Gettis is going for a Mid B and Floyd is listed at a High C and a Mid CLast edited by RyanMan82; 05-31-2014, 05:55 PM.Comment

I'm not sure if you are going for realism or fairness but neither apply to this deal. You need to give up WAY moreComment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Didi is definitely available because ARZ has Owings. Give up a few pitching prospects for him?
For Gordon, you'd probably have to wait a bit until Guerrero is ML ready, but when that comes you could get him.
Adams is definitely available if Taveras is up. You could definitely make a trade for him.Comment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
That Taveras trade is awful, agree with the guys above. Really not sure how you think you gave up a lot more than his value. Would need to throw in your farm for him (not really) but a couple of your best prospects. Uggla has no value.Comment

Moss seems to be turning into a nice piece in the middle of Oakland's lineup, so I'm not sure about him.

Any idea what fair comp might be for Gordon and Adams?Comment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I realize Tavares is going to be good in a couple of years, but the Cards seem to be making a push for the WS. Hale comes in as their most MLB ready in the minors, Venters is their best RP and still pretty young, and Uggla can platoon with Wong. Also Uggla is only on the books for 2.5M the next two years (not sure how?). I know it's not the fairest trade, but if the game will allow it, I'm going to take it.Comment
