I honestly don't see why you included Taylor. You overpaid. If the Tigers need a closer (they just dealt for Soria, so you can see what DET is willing to spend there), they would give you Rondon and Betancourt just for Rodney.

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Me personally I would think the Tigers would pass on that adventure.
I do agree though you overpaid... Taylor has been pretty solid for me in AAA, only hitting .256 but has 18 SB's and he is #8 on the M's Top-10 prospect board. No reason to give up on him already. Could've moved him down to AA to get his grove back
Granted Betancourt is #18 on the Tigers and 4 year younger and lucky for you no relation to Yuni (however Edgardo Alfonzo is his uncle).Last edited by Deuce2223; 07-24-2014, 10:39 AM.Comment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I forgot I also received a young OF in the deal as well. Francisco Martinez as well. So final trade:
Mariners get:
Rondon
Martinez
Betancourt
Tigers get:
Rodney
Taylor
I can't believe I forgot to mention Martinez. The Tigers were desperate, since Nathan is on the 60 day DL, and they have blown 4 straight saves without Nathan, and Rodney has been so good for me, it seemed kind of realistic they would pay that much.
For Rodney's replacement I'm torn on 2 players, Medina or Carson Smith. Medina is 4-0, with a 0.00 ERA, 39 K's, 4 BB's, 0.65 WHIP in 23.1 innings, and Smith is 1-0, with a 2.97 ERA, 33 K's, 8 BB's, 1.09 WHIP in 18 innings. I kind of want to leave Medina in his current role, but he has just been so damn filthy.Last edited by Godgers12; 07-24-2014, 11:04 AM.Green Bay PackersSeattle MarinersNew York Rangers

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Gonzales: 4-4, 3.36 ERA, 1.20 WHIP, 82 K in 91 IP (AA)
Kelly: been really good for the cards, unlikely they would give up his arm when theyre in the hunt
Kamisky: Single-A, no stats
Alexander Reyes: listed as a top 50 prospect in my franchise...5-4, 4.23 ERA, 1.55 WHIP, 92 K in 72 IP (AA)
Tim Cooney: 5-5, 2.43 ERA, 1.12 WHIP, 107 K in 93 IP (AAA)
Cards also acquired Yordano Ventura from KC earlier in the year. He's been really bad out of the pen, but unlikely to be traded twice in a monthChicago Cubs

I really wish that the M's would've never traded Capps for L. Morrison. He was my favorite RP to play with in 2013.Comment

I haven't made it through the 1st season yet, and I was curious, since potential can change in RTTS, does it also change in franchise depending on how a player is doing?Green Bay PackersSeattle MarinersNew York Rangers

Yes it can/will. I'm in 2018 and it's pretty cool to see how guys have progressed/regressed when it comes to Potential.Comment

I am just glad you didn't abuse the trade logic in acquiring Seager and Julio Burias. Pretty sure Ned Colletti would have to pull the trigger here IRL.Chicago Cubs | Chicago Bulls | Green Bay Packers | Michigan WolverinesComment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Would you guys accept trades like that in your franchise or let it go? I have let some pretty nice deals go because I thought the CPU was offering way too much.
