Any shot I could get some feedback on my question about the O's two pages back? Am trying to do some trades atm and this one is top priority to see if I can do something with
    White Sox Franchise

    Jaguars Franchise

        He's killing everyone right now.

Teams in position for playoff spot (No NL East):

        AL:
Blue Jays 71-47 (1st AL East)
        Rays 67-50 (2nd AL East, 1st WC)
Red Sox 66-50 (3rd AL East, 2nd WC)
        Tigers 64-52 (1st AL Central)
White Sox 63-57 (2nd AL Central, 4th WC)
        Mariners 66-51 (1st AL West)
        A's 65-52 (2nd AL West, 3rd WC)
        Rangers 61-56 (3rd AL West, 5th WC)

On the Brink: Yankees 58-59 (6th WC)

        NL:
        Pirates 65-52 (1st AL Central)
        Cardinals 61-55 (2nd NL Central, 3rd WC)
        Reds 59-59 (3rd NL Central, 5th WC)
Dodgers 80-39 (Jesus, 1st NL West)
        D-Backs 65-53 (2nd NL West, 2nd WC)

Of those teams, only 7 need pitching:

        Blue Jays
        Red Sox
        White Sox
        Mariners
        Rangers
        Pirates
        D-Backs.

I'm looking at Hamels, so take the Red Sox out of the equation. The Phillies are 55-63, 18.5 out of the NL East, and 10 out of the WC.

*Note: All transactions in the franchise are as of 8/6/14

Furcal just got traded to Minnesota, and Solano's hitting around .250 with 5 (?) homers through August. Not sure about Valdespin.

Solano is good enough that if you overpay for Hech you're good. How is DeGrom doing?

I'm not at the game right now but not too good I don't think. ERA around 4.50 I think.. I don't know if the marlins would be interested in Ike Davis or not?

Sorry for not replying... ended up watching some TV for a bit... anyways as long as you think it's realistic to trade him since he is way overachieving, teams in current need of pitchers(that are also in contention) are: Mets, Rockies, Blue Jays, Indians(sort of in contention, they're on a hot streak so they may come back in it), Angels(whole rotation is struggling other then Wilson), Mariners, Pirates(Locke has been terrible) and the Rangers.

Of those teams the M's and the Indians are unlikely options, thought I would name them anyways... same goes for the Rangers but thought I would name them too. The Angels farm system is a bit modified, as I traded Cron/Yarbrough in realistic/fair trades for their current state.

Mets might give DeGrom+Plawecki or something

                  Rockies might give Story+

Jays please no lol but idk, Lugo+?

                  Indians idk, Naquin?

                  Angels have nothing

                  Rangers.. some MIFer?

                  Mariners.. Chris Taylor+

Piratess.. I'm not sure, lots to choose from.

He could fit in on the Rangers for maybe Odor + Ogando + another piece? I would say Sardinas but that would probably be unrealistic and idk if they would give up up even though he is performing like a boss...

EDIT: If the Rangers do this they would probably want to dish off one of Baker/Holland for a 1B/DH... maybe try and make this a three team trade somehow? Or is that to complicated lol? (Holland has a 4.68 ERA and Baker a 4.10)

Odor's value alone is higher than S-Jo. With a healthy Andrus, Profar and Sardinas, the O's might be able to pry Odor away if S-Jo is packaged with a depth piece that a contender would value. You mentioned 1B/DH...is Steve Pearce around? If so, is he making any noise with the bat?

It sounds like both teams are pushing but Odor would be a good piece for the O's. If M. Wieters is still around, there is some nice catching depth that can be dealt from. I think Johnson+Ohlman/Sisco would do it.

With both teams pushing, that's why I was thinking a hot Pearce could even out the deal. An ice cold Pearce could be waived and carries no value but if he's swinging that hot stick like IRL, he could prove valuable in Texas

Ohlman/Sisco is a good addition to the deal but the Rangers have Alfaro in their system. I believe they'd rather focus on another position for prospect depth if they opt for a young player in return.

Good point. Though, if he's hot, I don't want him to go :-) on the other hand, if everyone is hitting, he is a luxury.

I was thinking Ohlman to DH/1b and catch today. That's me guessing Alfaro is 2 years away. I'm not sure where Prince and Moreland are in this franchise.

That's a possibility. Moreland could be in RF with Fielder at 1B/DH

Ok so I sort of suck at doing trades so I wanted to know what you guys thought of these trades I came up with during the off-season.

McCann to White Sox for Courtney Hawkins (21yrs, 56ovr, 89 potential)

Ivan Nova to Texas for Nick Williams (21yrs, 60ovr, 81 potential) or to the Angels for Ramon Ozuna (19yrs, 61ovr, 82 potential)

Nova could be the #5 in either rotation.

Any advice welcomed and thank you.
