Probably you'd have to give up Russell/Castro and one of Soler/Almora. Depends on how Scherzer did in 2014. If he had another Cy Young season then he'll be worth more

Scherzer did ok, not a cy young season. I think he was 13-9 with just under 4.50 era. So are you saying one of Russell or Castro and one of Soler or Almora?
    Thanks for your help.

The trade value for Scherzer on the spreadsheet is Mid-A-High-B-Mid-B so yeah

What do you think he is worth? Who would the Tiger's want for him?
If Castro and/or Russell don't have to be included for Scherzer, what
power hitting outfielder could I get for one of them and maybe a couple
small pieces? I am looking for fair deal and semi realistic.

You're looking to deal for a rental, crappy Scherzer as the Cubs? Edwards + Lake probably

No Detroit resign him to a 5 year deal I believe. So it will be a sign and trade.

Hey guys, I am deciding to restart my Brewers franchise with the new hybrid rosters. I really want to trade away Ryan Braun. I don't have any stats since its the beginning of the 2014 season. I am not looking for anybody particular. I am just wondering which teams would want him and who could I get for him? Thanks!

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread

Heading into the deadline there are a few things in my franchise I'd like to address. (Going to be a pretty long Post)

First is the Royals 3B situation. They are 3rd best team in the AL right now, and have been doing it because of their rotation. Offensively they haven't been anything special. I'd really like to make an upgrade over Moose. He's hitting .222/.310/.339 w/ 5HRs and 31 RBIs over 68 games. He's easily been the worst everyday player they have. I'm having a difficult time finding a suitor for a replacement, due to most divisions still being relatively close. The only teams truly out of it are the 'Stros, Mariners, Twins, WhiteSox + Marlins. Out of those teams the only 3B that is doing any better than Moose is Seager and I don't know whether or not they would move him.

I have a bit of an idea but I'm not sure if I'd be off base with it. I was thinking I could possibly move Infante to 3B for the remainder of the season and trade for Jose Altuve. He's hitting .259/.296/.363 w/ 5HR 30RBI over 87 games. I'm wondering if Moose would be one of the guys involved in the deal if I were to do this.

To add to this Headley could be moved but he's barely playing better than Moose.

Secondly, The D-Backs are doing quite well in my chise at 52-42 which is good enough for 1st in the West by 2.0 games over San Fran + 2.5 over LA. They've been good all year despite having the season ending injuries to Corbin + Hudson before the year. To add to that they also lost Arroyo + have had more injuries to their rotation throughout the year. I'm wondering if they would want to upgrade their rotation for the rest of the year or if they would just stay where they are and keep riding the success.

A few options I've thought of are: Chris Tillman 9-4 2.42ERA 9.81K/9 w/ 2.732 DIPS + .278BIPA. He's also 3rd in Cy Young voting (Not sure if BAL would consider dealing him). Justin Masterson 9-8 3.31ERA 9.15K/9 3.21 DIPS .305BIPA

Adding Full Standings in case anyone would like to make any suggestions + for added context (note: I have only made a few minor trades so far.)

iirc when I posted about Braun people said the best options were the Jays, Giants, Angels possibly Red Sox. That's just going off memory. Jays will probably give you the best package from the Brewers perspective.

I"ll probably go with the Blue Jays. Stroman/Sanchez/Osuna/Nolin.

Thanks for the list of teams.

Would Niese (6-6 3.54 7.47k/9 3.1DIPS .312BIPA) for Didi (.213/.261/.291 2/12) + Chase Anderson (5-2 2.22 9.34K/9 2.8DIPS @ AA) be fine? or with how Anderson is pitching would he be fine straight up for Niese?
