So any suggestions on what changes, trades, and signings I should do? Let's say if I don't make the playoffs, what should I do in the off season? If I do, then what do I do in the off season? And also why are the pitchers E.R.A's so high(except for Tyson Ross)? Even if I look at other pitchers E.R.A's, the 2nd best is a 2.70 E.R.A compared to in real life MLB is like a top-15 or 20 best.

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
What else do you have for SP? Josh Johnson? Erlin?
Look here and compare to the teams who look to be out of it. Any of their players on this list are trade bait since they will be free agents.
With a new GM, maybe you can bring Street back to close? Tyler Clippard is not necessarily a closer but he could fill the role nicely.Comment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Ok so If I want to bring in Holland (1.65 ERA) since he is rumored to being traded IRL or Jansen(2.34 ERA) because Dodgers are struggling and they traded Kershaw who had a 4.95 ERA! If I trade for one of them, who should I trade? BTW the Phillies and Royals are struggling.
Anyways, do you still have Cory Luebke available and or Casey Kelly?Comment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Yes Luebke is available. I traded Kelly and another Double A prospect for Greg Holland.NBA 2K16 2015-2016 Ultimate Rosters -- NBA 2K16 2015-2016 Ultimate Rosters (PS3)Comment

If you want to be realistic, you can use Luebke out of the pen and play it out as bringing him back slowly after having 2 season ending arm injuries. Of course, I'd replace Shumaker with him or Tayron Guerrero if you want some heat.Comment

Currently first in the division at the All-Star break as the Padres with the updated rosters. Was thinking about trading Hedges, Liriano, Renfroe, Seth Smith, Quentin, Venable, Johnson and Erlin
I want a top notch starter or reliever. Ideas?Last edited by 1andonly; 12-24-2014, 12:30 AM.Comment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Hello, first time poster but a long time reader.
I'm running an orioles franchise where I play every mlb pitch and sim the minor league games. I'm currently only 14 games into the season (12-2) after making some trades along the way. My current pitching rotation is Gonzales, Jimenez, Tillman, Gausman, Britton with Bundy in AAA.
Overall I'm pretty happy with that but I was considering sacrificing some depth for a rock solid position player on a reasonable contract...which brings my question.
With both the Pirates and the Orioles knowing only what they knew at the start of the 2014 season, who takes this trade, who refuses it. If its way off base would love to hear opinions on who's getting ripped. I'm also interested in both the fairness of the deal, as well as the likelihood. Thanks

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
But who's going to give them a decent arm for him right now? They'll probably wait until the spring just to show that he can run around and by then, the market will be closed. The other one that is getting me is SD's outfield. It doesn't seem like they could get value out of anyone that they need to consider moving. Venable is maybe a team's #20 prospect, Quentin they'd have to pay part of his salary to get that, and Maybin is probably less than that...but they are trying to squeeze BAL for Gausman?Comment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Realistically, McCutchen is the face of the franchise, the Jeter of the Pirates. Plus, he has a ton of surplus value with his contract. It would take Machado and Bundy to even start a conversation with them, and you still are only half way there.Comment

Yeahhh forget Gausman. Quentin + cash could get something okay, and I think they keep Venable as a 4OF."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment
