Exactly. This is why I said I think they will trade him for the right players. I doubt they would turn that down. Now personally I wouldn't do that if I was the Padres because I think I could land a better player than him. But there are plenty of teams that could put together a trade for him.

I've heard that sound 3 times... once was Babe Ruth, the second was Josh Gibson, and the third was Bo Jackson- Buck O'Neil

come one. You can't be serious. If I offered them Cashner, Myers, Wisler, Renfroe and Lindsey they would jump on that in a heart beat. Not a "maybe."
It's been said in this thread that I could get Sale for basically the same exact deal. Sale and Freeman are not equally hard to get.Playstation Network:That70s_Gamer

But obviously, any player could be traded if the other side overpaid by enough."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

So Walker+ for Harper? What about for Wil Myers straight up for Walker? If Myers was still on the Rays in the offseason after year 1Comment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Freddie Freeman is 25 and one of the best hitters in the game. According to Fangraphs he's the 24th most valuable player in the game. If his contract is even smaller in The Show, there's no way his value isn't top 20 at worst. Only way I can see him being dealt is a massive overpay.
In all fairness, the reason I could see this is because I think you're getting ripped. So it's less of a "right players" thing and more of an "overpay" thing. I can't support giving up all of your premium assets like that.
But obviously, any player could be traded if the other side overpaid by enough.
My point in all this is that it bugs me when people say "oh that player cannot be traded for under any circumstance." With the trade I proposed I would be overpaying, but it would make my team much better.Comment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
IRL I would rank Freeman as top 25 for his 2013 season.
But based on his 2014 output he would be hard pressed to make the top 90.
But his REAL value is incalculable, for what he brings to a clubhouse, cannot be measured.
I wish the Show would incorporate team chemistry into the game. Somehow.T-BONE.

Not happening.
Disagree with that. Not sure what you mean by best, but I would not call him the best. To me the best hitters in the game are Tulo, Miggy, Trout etc.

It's not that there's no circumstance in which they could be traded for. It's that there's no circumstance in which a trade would make sense."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment
