I'm sure this has already been asked, but I can't seem to find any threads so I'll ask it in here. Is the PS4 version worth buying a next gen console? I'm pretty sure I'm going to get one by the time WWE 2k15 is out or possibly for Madden, but I'm open to just getting one now and getting The Show. So far in reading the forums, the one major difference is there seems to be some sort of budget issue with the ps3 version. Anything else I need to take in to consideration? I know there are no sounds of the show on ps4 but I can live with that for now

If you are going to get a ps4 anyway, then yes, might as well get the ps4 version of mlb.
I wouldn't buy a ps4 just for mlb though because right now it's not that much of an upgrade feature and gameplay wise, IMOComment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Q & A (PS4)
I wouldn't think there would be a price drop for the ps4 by then so with all other things being equal I would go ahead n get it now then. Only thing to be aware of its just not much of a leap Imo. Just keep your expectations in check. Imo it's a bit buggier than most other years. Then again that might be me coz I ended up buying both so it may seem that way to me due to having both versions.Comment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Q & A (PS4)
I tried searching for this bug/glitch, I'm just wondering if its happening anywhere else. Alexi Casilla is somehow in the league leaders for PITCHING in my RTTS.
He somehow has a 20-8 record, 2.38 ERA, 9 complete games, 7 shutouts. I say this concerns me because he is also showing up 2nd in Cy Young voting, behind my pitcher.
Same thing happened last year, and I checked the Orioles player stats, all it shows is batting stats.
Is this a normal issue, a one time thing?7 National Championships
43 Conference Championships
152 All-Americans
5 Heisman Trophy Winners

#1 in weeks ranked top 5 in AP Poll

Re: MLB 14 The Show Q & A (PS4)
I am always wondering of some attributes and how theyinfluence the game. E.g. Plate discipline.
In theory: The more points i spentto plate discipline, the more my character is able to recognize if a pitch is aball or a strike. But in my opinion, this is just an issue which i only caninfluence by myself idependently how much is the score at plate discipline attribut. So why do i have to spend my trainings point into plate discipline?<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o></o

New Player: Cubbies and Difficulty
Hey guys. Brand new to the game and haven't played a MLB game in ~10 yrs, so as you can expect, I have a few questions.1. In RTTS, which position has the best possibilty to be picked up by the cubbies? Majors from the start isn't necessarily a huge focus for me, as I don't mind putting in the work, but I don't want to spend my entire career with a team that I have no interest in.2. Am I crippling myself by keeping the difficulty at beginner? As I said before, I haven't played a baseball game in years, so the hitting mechanics are a definite learning curve for me. At the beginner hitting setting, I'm noticing that my players contact is never spot-on. Obviously, I could improve that through zone hitting, but will my character improve himself on timing only?Any other tips for the game would definitely be appreciated, so don't feel obligated to only answer the above two questions. Thanks in advance!Comment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Q & A (PS4)
Not to sure on question 1 as I haven't followed the Cubs much recently.
Question 2...in RTTS if I remember correctly whatever difficulty you start with is what you will have to work with in your first assignment (ex. Double A ball) then when you move up to triple A the game then moves you up on difficulty level also. So if you start in beginner at A ball you will end up on All star in the majors.
As far as your players contact sure that will become better as you spend points on contact in your attributes, but also beware of what type of interface your using for hitting. Timing hitting for example you will have no human control over your API it will move based on your hitting attributes. Zone hitting you can move the API yourself to try n make better more solid contact. But in both types the size of your API is determined by your contact attributes.
Hope that helps, I'm not always the best at explaining things. I'm sure others could do it more concisely and or correct me if I'm wrong. Btw welcome to the SHOW!!

Re: MLB 14 The Show Q & A (PS4)
Hoping someone can help me out here. Every time I go to load/continue my Franchise the OS rosters are gone and I'm getting default rosters???? Is this a glitch??? I thought when you start a Franchise you stick with the roster set you began with???? I'm so frustrated I don't know what to do. I don't want to restart. Any help is appreciated

Re: MLB 14 The Show Q & A (PS4)
Hey,
I was going to try and start a new thread about it this but it wouldnt let me so I figured here would be as good a place as any to ask it.
Is anybody else having realism problems with their Rule 5 Drafts after their first franchise mode season?
I just finished up my first chise season and in the winter the Rule 5 Draft was stock full of players with 90+ potential and lots of top 5 prospects from each time, like DJ Peterson from the Mariners and Trey Ball with the BoSox. Lots of teams were picking up these guys from other teams that are seemingly never available in real life or at least never acquired (I guess due to the fact the have to spend the entire season on the 25 man roster).
Anyone else experiencing this or having found a way to avoid it because its frustrating having these players move around so much when the Rule 5 Draft is usually a pretty quiet and unimportant event in MLB all things considered.
ThanksComment

No way is he missed. I'm so glad I don't have to hear the phrase "He's a gamer!" anymore after a pitcher gets hit.Comment

None of you can complain about Rex. I have to listen to the real him for 150+ games a year. FSKC go **** themselves.Comment
