quick question for 30 team control. Do you have to keep doing all the scouting for each team? I've never done 30 team and a little lost with it. Also, do you have to check the transactions page each day for possible trades? I'm on April 29th in my Cubs franchise and the Cards just dealt Oscar Tavares and Alexander Reyes to the Rays for Ben Zobrist!!

Sitting at 40-42 with the Stros. I have a freaking 20-day stretch with no off days WTF? Then I get the AS break

Tried zone hitting tonight: HATED it. Not my cup of tea

Back to timing for old me

Really? Thats surprising, timing just got old for me. Ive used it for years, I recently changed and I don't think ill go back to timing, sick and tired and weak grounders and pop ups. Zone hitting has opened up all kinds of possibilities, I've seen hits (bloops, high choppers, etc) in the last 3 games that I haven't seen in the previous 115 games (Im 118 games in as the White Sox).

Well, to each his own, good luck.

I let the CPU do the scouting, as for trades, I go to:

Transactions, check the trade offers for every team (requires you to cycle through every team) and just reject all the offers because 99% of the time they are incredibly ridiculous (i thought logic was revamped, seems worse).

Does this happen to anyone else?

Fly ball to the OF, you switch to your faster fielder, in this case Ellsbury instead of Beltran. So it's RCF. Ellsbury just stops even though I'm controlling him but if I switch back to Beltran it allows me to keep running for the ball.

Idk if it's so I can't get the out or what but it's happened multiple times on balls I know Ellsbury could track down but Beltran wouldn't be able to.

I'll be open minded and finish out the series with it. It isn't fair to give it just one game.

Do you pre place the cursor prior to the pitch? I want to try it after the gym. Does it just increase the variety of hits?

                  Yankees to Sign Max Scherzer

By: Shawn Matheson|ESPNNewYork.com [December 4, 2014 at 11:49 pm CDT]

After months of drama and speculation, the Max Scherzer saga has come to a close. The Yankees today officially announced that they've signed the Missouri native righty to a five-year contract that is reportedly worth a massive $110MM. The contract provides Scherzer with a player option after the 2019 season and also contains a full no-trade clause. Scherzer is represented by Scott Boras.

Scherzer (pictured) was seen as the number 1 target pitcher for the Yankees. With the retirement of Hiroki Kuroda, the departures via of top-of-the-rotation arms in Michael Pineda and C.C. Sabathia, and possessing little in the way of impact arms in their farm system, the Yankees felt as if adding Scherzer would give them the best 1-2-3 punch in baseball. Scherzer will join Masahiro Tanaka, Cliff Lee, and Ivan Nova in the starting rotation in 2015.

Of course, the Yankees could elect to pursue any of the remaining big-name free agent starters as well; James Shields, Jon Lester, Ervin Santana are all still free agents, as are less-expensive options such as Jason Hammel. The Yankees of course can choose to find their two remaining starters in-house. David Phelps and Manny Banuelos are two options the Yankees have for the 5 spot in the rotation.

Scherzer should thrive in this Yankees rotation as he will not be required to be the ace. With Tanaka as the ace, Scherzer can slide into the 2/3 starter in a stacked rotation and provide quality starts as he did in the 2013 Cy Young season.

How on earth did you get Cliff Lee and Javier Baez?

Starlin Castro was performing way above expectations and Baez was scuffling, .170 avg with 0 hr and 10 RBI's through 3 months in the 2014 season. So I sent Michael Pineda, Gary Sanchez, and Slade Heathcott to the Cubs (approved by the trade thread at that time and with my scenario). For Cliff Lee, I can't remember who I traded but it included C.C. Sabathia who's value was high at the time, and a couple other higher-end prospects with good trade value. I have no farm system or it's last in the league in ranks, but I'll say it was worth it.

                        53-33 Rangers @ 41-33 Astros for a 4-game series

I'm sitting at 11 GB so I need to really find a way to win at least 3 of the 4 games. The lone bright spot is I don't have to face Darvish this series.

I go with the pitch, if I see the pitch coming in on a LH hitter I move the cursor in as well and swing. Maybe an awkward explanation, but thats the best I got, lol.

I do have a question, in my franchise, there has been no trades whatsoever in one whole season. I don't know what settings I need to have because I would really like to see some trades happen. I have 30 team control and the user settings for the 29 other teams are all on automatic...what gives?
