Are there other options then these 2?
Pirates, Reds, Marlins, Toronto, Colorado. What I do is play a few exhibition games with each team and see which one you could see yourself playing with. I wanted to be the Pirates but something about them while playing I couldn't see myself playing with them.

Re: MLB 14 The Show Franchise Progress

After defeating the Rangers 13-1 in game 1 of a four set, we dropped two straight. 2-5, 2-6.

Game 4, Tanaka pitched a solid 8, 9 K's, 4 Hits. I was down 2-1 in the bottom of the 8th but Ellsbury went deep on a hanging breaking ball. Thornton was money in the 9th, and it set up a great opportunity for Tex in the bottom of the 9th.

Since the AS snub, Tex is hitting .452, 18 hits, 7 HR, 13 RBI in his last 10. He had 12 HR on the season prior.

      McCan avg is just spiraling downward since the ASB. -.-;

Got blown out 11-6 by the Cubs which is embarrassing. Junior Lake hit 2 HR in the same inning on me and they scored 8 that inning off Liriano.

McCutchen went 4-4 with a single, two doubles, and a triple. The second time in my first seven games I've had 3/4 of the cycle with a player. Gregory Polanco did it against the Cubs as well. Also against Arrieta.

My offense is doing well but the pitching is struggling. I'm giving up too many crooked number innings.

Re: MLB 14 The Show Franchise Progress

Well I decided to wait until after the trade deadline to start my franchise with the most updated rosters possible. In the mean time, I started a fantasy draft franchise with the Pirates and the team I put together is pretty ridiculous. I did make two trades after the draft one to acquire my 2nd favorite player in the league and the other was swap a RH OF for an LH OF to get a 3rd LH in the lineup. Anyway here is my team:
            Opening Day Lineup
            1. RF Gregory Polanco
            2. LF Bryce Harper (Acquired via trade for OF Will Myers and 3B Miguel Sano)
            3. CF Andrew McCutchen
            4. C Buster Posey (Acquired via trade for C Mike Zunino, SP Kyle Zimmer, SP Dylan Bundy and sent SP Archie Bradley as additional compensation)
            5. 1B Anthony Rizzo
            6. 3B Manny Machado
            7. SS Andrelton Simmons
            8. 2B Anthony Rendon
            Bench
C Hector Sanchez, 1B Carlos Pena, 2B Dan Uggla, 3B Chone Figgins, OF Travis Snider, Utility Josh Harrison.
            Rotation
            1. Gerrit Cole
            2. Sonny Gray
            3. Julio Teheran
            4. Zach Wheeler
            5. Taijuan Walker
-My rotation couldnt have came together much better as I pitch well with all 5 of these stud right handers.
            Bullpen
            CP Neftali Feliz
            SU Drew Storen
            SU Tony Watson
            RP Carlos Martinez
            RP Yoervis Medina
            RP Henry Rodriguez
            RP Zach Britton
Notable prospects/minor Leaguers: Jameson Taillion, Mark Appel, Julio Urias, Kris Bryant, Alen Hanson, Clint Frazier, Austin Meadows, Jorge Soler and Reese McGuire.

-Not too shabby of a team if I say so myself.

Re: MLB 14 The Show Franchise Progress

I'm in my first year of my Cubs Franchise. Pulled off the Samardzija trade on the 4th of July and went on my own from there. Rebuilt the farm system even more by getting rid of Barney for very young pitching and was in the process of simming when I got this trade offer (August Waiver trade):

Keep in mind my Cubs roster and record is actually worse than the real Cubs.

              James Shields for

              ...
              Wait for it...

Javier Baez, Addison Russell and Kris Bryant.

I stopped simming to post it on here. Thought you would like to see that.

I approve of this trade. I could be a little biased though.

Re: MLB 14 The Show Franchise Progress

Down to 12 games left in the season and I lead the NL Central by 9 games over the Reds (for those who don't know me, I use the Cardinals). I lead the weak Central (Reds/Me only teams over .500) despite the fact that Waino is 6-11 with 4.00+ ERA. Bad year for him, but Kelly, Miller, and Garcia each have 12+ wins. Wacha has 11.

I have the following schedule left:

                  3 vs Brewers
                  3 vs Reds
                  3 @ Cubs
                  3 @ Diamondbacks

The Orioles lead the AL East, Tigers lead the AL Central, A's lead the AL West. The divisions aren't even competitive.

                  Wildcard:

                  Angels
                  Rangers
                  Royals 4 GB

The Nationals have won the NL East and have the best record in NL. The Padres lead the NL West by 1/2 game over the Diamondbacks. Dodgers are 6 GB and fading.

                  NL Wildcard:

                  Diamondbacks
                  Dodgers
                  Reds 3 GB

Not a very exciting conclusion to the season given there are two wildcard teams nowadays. But hey, I'm winning and thats all that matters.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Hi all sorry if this is a litle off topic but I am looking for a OSFM v2 30 team franchise set on Opening Day. I would really appreciate if someone could give me one. I would love to play on 30 team control but dont have the time to set up one with all of the injuries, lineups, etc. thank you very much in advance

I realize that you cannot share PS4 files so if someone has it for PS3 that i could download and then transfer over that would be great. Thanks!

Seems like an overpay for Shields, no? Don't know much about teams/prospects outside of NY and possible targets, but couldn't Baez and Russel alone net you someone better or more in return than Shields?

The point of posting it was to show just how ridiculous the trade offer was. Overpay doesn't come close to describing the trade offer. At least you said you don't know much about outside NY though so it's all good!

I'm probably getting ready to jinx myself but my hands won't stop shaking. I'm 6 outs away from pitching my first No-Hitter ever and I've never been this deep into a game so I'm freaking out.

Kershaw is on the mound for me so I guess I should relax some and he's only thrown 72 pitches through 7. Pray for me
