Re: Dynamic Difficulty?
PSA:
So after continuing my Y2Y Franchise, which carried over last year's difficulty levels for DD (I'd since got both pitching and hitting to AS in 15), I imported another save from 14 to test with and it overwrote my DD levels back to where they were in 14.
Not only that, but now I literally cannot promote or demote levels in 15. I can reach ---- and ++++ but nothing I do will allow me to actually graduate or get demoted.
Not sure what to do. I'm stuck.Comment

Re: Dynamic Difficulty?
Ugh. To add insult to injury...
Now EVERY SINGLE GAME I ENTER demotes me a negative mark. LOL!
Example: I start a game at Veteran + Progress +++. If I literally do nothing and sim to the end of the game, the next game will have me at Veteran + Progress ++. Immediately sim the game and play again? Veteran + Progress +.
LOL!
If I keep this up, I'll find a difficulty black hole and end up on MOM mode or something. This is crazy.
This has got to be a bug. Which is odd because this all worked fine when I got the game.Comment

Re: Dynamic Difficulty?
I'm going to be online for a little while so if anyone has any ideas about what I can do to get my DD levels to change and stick, I'm all ears.
I'd really hate to have to create a new profile and start from scratch so if anyone has any ideas about how I can get my current profile (which is Veteran pitching AS+ hitting) working properly I'd be grateful.
My PM box is ok too if you have any ideas you think may seem insignificant enough to share in public.
I'm totally at a loss in how to remedy this myself.Comment

Re: Dynamic Difficulty?
Ha ha!
I'm going to tidy up the thread a little and test some more.
I'll repost the cryptic stuff if I still can't promote/demote with the old profile.
Edit: I deleted some posts above where I thought that my profile might be bugged from promoting/demoting with DD. I never considered the run rule. Though this doesn't explain why simulating the end of games automatically subtracts a progress level or why importing a save from 14 overwrites DD level, I will need to test further to figure out if anything is haulting progression/regression.Last edited by Heroesandvillains; 04-04-2015, 12:12 AM.Comment

Re: Dynamic Difficulty?
That said, my original PSA still stands. I was in the middle of a Franchise with my DD set and after importing a RTTS and Franchise from 14, my DD level reset. This I'm 100% on.
Import with caution.Comment

Re: Dynamic Difficulty?
Never played The Show before and had a q. If you keep dynamic difficulty at lets say "5" will the game constantly adjust to how you play to keep it challenging and fair? And also if you have DD on can you still adjust sliders or does that effect the way DD works? Thank you guys!Comment

Re: Dynamic Difficulty?
I just loaded up an in-game save file and my difficulty went all the way down to Veteran (I was on AS for hitting and pitching when I saved it).
I am really getting sick of this.
Am I really the only one having this problem?Comment

Re: Dynamic Difficulty?
Ok, here's why that happened.
Last night I created a new Profile for testing purposes. This was outside of any game mode. I made it my default.
Then I went into my Franchise and played a game under that Franchise's (my original) Profile. No issues. I saved the game in the 7th.
So when l loaded the Franchise save back up, it automatically loaded my new Test Profile with it.
It feels odd for the game to automatically place a Profile within a mode it had never touched. My Team Association uses my original Profile so it just seems weird to force my defaulted one on my Franchise.Comment

The sliders only affect it in so far as they change your batting or pitching capability. DD adjusts to your capabilities. If you start to hit well, it makes hitting a little more challenging, and similarly for Pitching.Comment
