Yeah this "bug" (if you can call it that) is pretty nasty. As is the DD resetting after you download a 14 save file once establishing a Y2Y file from 14.

But fortunately we have the suspend feature. I love it SO MUCH. I just finished a game and played 2 innings of the next one. Up 1-0 against BOSTON with my Yanks and suspended it so I could eat dinner. LOL!

Knowing I can come back to the exact moment I left off at is so cool.

Got a bug report link for that H&V? Glad it seems to be working for you now!

        Here's the thing...

I'm pretty sure I know what caused my DD to reset originally (I had imported an old 14 save file after having already established a 14 save file on 15 a few days earlier).

And changing my profile mid game definitely seems to have been caused by changing my Default profile back on the main menu.

But I'm hesitant to fill out bug reports on these mainly because I'd like to reproduce them one more time. The first one is especially nasty. But I really hate to have to reset my DD level again just to definitively prove it.

Seems like I'd be punishing myself for the sake of proving this. I really don't feel like reworking my DD level again for a THIRD time.

Anyone braver than me care to try and replicate it? I will walk you through it!

I didn't realize this feature was available on last years edition. I had started a franchise with the Padres using All-Star for all levels and found the hitting to be difficult but the pitching not so much. It took a couple games to 'settle down' but I may have found a good combo. Glad I came across these threads!

And yes, zero will lock your levels into place.
How are coming along with 2 still? Just curious because I was thinking about switching mine there as well. Currently have mine maxed. Thanks.

I'm getting the exact result I'm wanting.

Great/poor outings are netting a couple positive/minus points but my play is consistent enough that my difficulty levels haven't changed.

"2" (or I could see 3) is how DD should have worked last year.

That said the game is definitely harder this year. I feel like I'm on the correct level but my goodness, I'm fighting for every hit/out.

In a good way (though swear words are said).

The dynamic difficulty system should allow us to start at whatever level we want and then go up or down from there. I'm 3 games into my Pirates season, lost the first game 6-2 which put me as low as possible at rookie level, but since then I have had 2 big wins 16-7 and 11-1 with 18 hits in each and I'm still only at rookie+++ for batting and pitching. The last 2 games have felt really cheesey with the opposition pitchers serving up meatball after meatball and my pitchers dominant. I'm way ahead of all other teams in home runs and strikeouts. And still a rookie! I want to be able to start at A/S and take it from there.

I'm hopeful they'll eventually allow us to select our starting point too.

For now, turn up the DD slider all the way to the right. That's what the slider is designed to do; level us up or down faster.

I think I will switch to 2 also. Right now with the slider maxed out I do real well in the first few innings, suck in the middle innings, and play well again in the last few innings. It's becoming a trend so I will try 2 to see if I get more of a variety of games.

I don't get what you're saying. Your DD level can only go up or down once per game.

Can you be more specific about the exact problem you're having?

Oh really? Maybe its just my overall inconsistency.

During the first few innings I hit and pitch well. During that time I have a lot of the + marks.

About the 4th inning my performance goes down. By the 8th inning I have a few - marks. Then my performance gets better. I can hit again and hit my spots when I am pitching.

Perhaps it is just a placebo effect.

                          I see.

Basically, you're only going to want to change the slider from default (5) under two circumstances:

                          1. Max it out if you want to move up or down a level quickly. Meaning you're sure you're on a level that is wrong for you.

                          2. Turn it down or off if you're pretty certain you've found the perfect level (off if it's perfect. Around 2 or so if you're happy where you're at but still want to see where DD takes you).

I knew I wanted to be on AS, so I maxed it out just so I could get there quickly. I have it on 2 now that I'm on AS because I'm open to the idea of ending up on Veteran+ or AS+, but don't want to move either way too quickly.

Thanks for the input man. I will adjust it to default then.

                              Good call.

Pull back on the slider if you're happy with your level, bump up the slider if you're not.

Have fun and keep us posted.

Exactly what I'm doing. AS difficulty right now with the DD slider at 2. I'm glad this has been refined from 14.
