Yeah I agree because that would make it even less work to get to where you want to get to even with the slider we have at 10 it takes more then just like 3 games to go form rookie to veteran even if you are doing great. The another thing I would do is have a way to just play on say all star+ and go up or down form there or stay the same. If they made those 2 changes DD would be like perfect!

Re: Dynamic Difficulty?
I love dynamic difficulty. I stayed in school the extra year so by the time I started playing games I was at veteran or so. Now I'm on HoF++++ - what comes after that?
I think all sports games need this system.#WashedGamerComment

Difficulty: Hall of Fame [Progress ++++]
Means you're about to promote to HOF+ , a mid-step between HOF and Legend. Have fun!Comment

Re: Dynamic Difficulty?
Another question that probably is answered in a fact sheet but I literally just bought the game and started playing. I avoided the "hype train" completely so I wouldn't feign for it. Anyway, along with dynamic difficuly, do pitchers pick up on your tendencies? They challenge me with offspeed low in the zone - which is an area I don't swing at often - I'm starting to believe they're programmed to know that. If so, thats awesome and I guess I'll start golfing.#WashedGamerComment

Re: Dynamic Difficulty?
So question for you guys like how many games is it taking you to get your DD locked or close to where you want it? I am not even close yet but I think that is for 2 reason right now. 1. Directional hitting I don't think is for me I am having a lot of at bats where I get good timing only to like ground out or fly out because you cant control the PCI. I think I am going back to zone. 2. I didn't play mlb 14 for a while before mlb 15 came out so I am rusty.Comment

Re: Dynamic Difficulty?
Currently sitting at 16-9 in my season and I'd say in a few more games I'll be at my sweet spot, Hall of Fame pitching and All-Star hitting. I'll say with the new analog hitting I am hitting a lot better this year than in the past. I'm probably gonna leave the slider at 4 so I'll make jumps but not significant ones
Oh ok so you have played 25 games. I have only played 4 games lol but I am still at rookie for both hitting and pitching. Isn't there some rule that you have to win or go up by like 4 runs to go up In difficulty or something? My pithing has gotten to like rookie ++++ sever times so I am surprised I haven't gotten to veteran yet and I have been playing with the slider at 10 yet I haven't gotten to veteran yet for pitching odd. Now my hitting has not been to good but like I said I think I need to go back to zone.Comment

Re: Dynamic Difficulty?
For the moment I think I'm stuck in HOF purgatory - just going up and down from two plus signs to four of them.

Brilliant stuff if you ask me!
Don't look at being stuck on HOF "purgatory." DD is designed to eventually settle you in; that's the point.
The new slider was introduced for players that couldn't get comfortable last year.Comment

Re: Dynamic Difficulty?
DD was designed to place players on the best difficulty to their ability. The idea is to keep that player on a level where the games are competitive. Remember, the difference between the very best team and the very worst isn't that much over small sample sizes. Most real life games are close scoring.
It's only over 162 games that these small differences look large.
The run rule is in place because winning and losing a realistic amount of games is top priority.
Which makes sense, if you think about it. OPS is the tool by which our levels are measured here (which is brilliant). Naturally if you're hitting way to many XBH's, you'd also be outscoring the competition by a wide margin. Think of the run rule as an extra precaution in keeping the DD system fair to the player.Comment

Re: Dynamic Difficulty?
No. You need to be either wining or losing by 3 runs for a promotion/demotion to take effect.

I get that but if you are really bad or not hitting while I don't think your pitching should suffer and not go up if your pitching is great. That is why I was saying what if you are hitting great you hitting is not going to get harder so you are going to be scoring a million runs a game just because your pitching is not up to your hitting.Comment

Re: Dynamic Difficulty?
Personally I would NOT want my pitching to get bumped up from AllStar+ to HOF in the middle of a close game - with the way HOF mode hates me that's like a guaranteed loss.
I like it the way it is, too. Of course when I actually start playing seriously it won't matter because I'll have the slider zeroed and the difficulty won't move period.Comment
