Re: framerate is extremely disappointing
this isn't true at all. Madden has had framerate problems for years, and it continued on PS4.Comment

Re: framerate is extremely disappointing
Thanks for your condescending reply I appreciate it. I just stated my experience not to say it doesn't exist. Now with the show on ps4 you can't hit the pitcher meter on the line because of jerky framerate. Maybe it's just in my universe I dunno.

also, it must be your tv because the only framerate problems I experience aside from cutscenes is after the ball is in play.Comment

Re: framerate is extremely disappointing
The Show suffers from frame rate dips and at times it really pisses us off. I think that sums it up?Comment

Re: framerate is extremely disappointing
I am sure this has been said already but I'll bump this thread and add it to the end.
On many of your alls TVs in the menu there is a setting called "game mode" and it will help (not necessarily cure) your frame rate issues. Just hit menu on your remote and look for "game mode". Sorry if this is redundant. Just trying to help. Enjoy.Comment

Re: framerate is extremely disappointing
I have three tvs at home.... Older sony 53"xbr that runs at 60hz.
Samsung 46" 240hz C8000:
Samsung 60" 2014 model UN60H6350 120mz with quad processer.
After more playing time I am getting the best results not using gamemode. Of course results will vary with everyone based on your setup.
I am using my Samsung 60" 2014 model UN60H6350 120mz with quad processor and the overall gameplay / cutscenes are improved when not using the gamemode feature. I understand the logic is reversed from what is the norm.
Is it possible that the PS4 specifications are a better match for the newer tv's?
As an example, I could not play the PS3 version of MLBTS without gamemode on the newer Samsungs (timing and lag) but the older Sony model (60hz) was fine. I can play PS4 MLBTS (with or without) gamemode enabled on Samsungs.
I am seeing a smoother game (PS4) without gamemode, and you have the full menu of options to tweak your picture when gamemode is disabled. Again, I understand results vary based on tv specs, etc. It is also possible that I am going crazy.Comment

Re: framerate is extremely disappointing
Yes, you are
Your TV will not affect your frames. It won't matter if you use the most expensive PC monitor you can find. The frames will still drop. The problem lies within the game itself not your TV and no "Game Mode", "PC Mode", or "Normal Mode" will help. The only thing that will help is optimization. I don't know why people keep bringing their Television sets into this.Comment
