Yupp, sadly the framerate stutter is super noticeable when using an outfielder in RTTS. It's quite annoying at times when using the right tsick to look at the beauty of the stadiums form my outfielder's perspective and it's easily less than 60 FPS (coming from a huge PC gamer)

Yeah it's a 30 FPS lock for sure in RTTS/Player Lock - I can percieve that really well because I'm also a PC gamer. I know that's for the sake of smooth gameplay - having framerate dips between 60 and 30 while trying to field the ball would be disastrous.

Cut scene framerate drops is the one thing that disappoints me with this game. Especially after PS3 was so smooth everywhere.

Outside of that, I love the game to death.

I think it is more prominent because the ps4 game play runs at a much faster rate than the ps3 gameplay did. So cut scene drop off was not as noticeable on the ps3 as it is on the ps4.

Yea the only cut scenes I notice it a lot is when it cuts to the batter at the plate after a pitch. I really thought that was something that was going to be fixed with the new console and all. I hope this is something that can be fixed in future games.

I doubt that, it's way too smooth when moving the camera quickly to be 30 FPS (at least for me as a SS).

You might be right because you have a keen eye for stuff but in this instance I really don't think that's what's going on here.

Admittedly, I easily could be wrong but having just played the PS3 version I think the issue is bigger than this.

It's not all cutscenes either; a few are nearly flawless. But most of them are glaringly stuttery. Even Youtube videos in their compression demonstrate how choppy it all is.

The frame rate drops are a HUGE deal for me. I can not stand choppy frame rate smh. I mean I understand this is their 1st crack at Next Gen but 1080p + 60 fps should be the standard for ALL games going forward. Choppy frame rate should be a thing of the past. Now the game does run smooth during actual gameplay, but lets face it, in baseball it's just as much about the presentation (cutscenes, replays, etc..). The choppy frame rate is so annoying to me that I have to put the presentation style on Fast instead of Broadcast. By doing that unfortunately you miss out on a big part of great presentation the game has to offer. SCEA please patch this ASAP! Otherwise the game is great.

I play manager mode and a lot of CPU vs CPU games with broadcast cameras and the slow down in the cut scenes are almost nonexistent. So I think it must be a problem when we play outside of the broadcast views. Maybe there is an issue when transitioning from the dynamic camera into the cut scenes?

The framerate to me isnt the worst part though. The jaggies in the shadows that happen in cutscenes are really bad sometimes. Usually when they show a guy in daytime game standing on second or when there is a pitcher change. I also dont like in a cutscene how when the camera is panning and a players shadow doesnt pop up until the player comes on screen. Even if a player is just off screen his shadow should still be theere but its not.

Just turn on fast play which will do away with the cut scenes if it bothers you.

Has anyone that is seeing stuttering tried playing in 720p mode? That might increase the frame rate and help reduce the stuttering. I would be curios to see if that makes a difference.

240hz tv. No problems here. Cutscenes are kind of wonky sometimes but not during gameplay.

Very jerky in all game area for me on my digital version. More so in cut scenes but when balls are thrown on the infield specially to first the framerate is very bad. Hurts my eyes.

Can't say I've seen any frame rate issues during gameplay at all. Yes rtts is lower but its steady.

Cut scenes do have drops though. I'm sure it can be fixed though.
