Russell said before the game came out they get about two weeks off after the release of the game and then it's onto development for 15. So that makes about 3 or 4 weeks to create a patch. My guess is since the PS4 came out so late that they give us one big patch and are done with this years version of the game. That's why I believe we haven't got a patch yet. They are trying to get as many fixes in as possible. There is absolutely no reason to believe we won't get one other than just the fact it's taken a bit longer than normal. I just think this is a completely different situation where the game came out late and that has a big impact on it not having come out quickly. Not putting out a patch just doesn't sound like SCEA whatsoever. I'd be flat out shocked if we don't get one.

and thus the problem... you haven't 'said anything.' It's just nice to be kept in the loop/informed and not left to guessing whether or not broken features of the game will be fixed.
Appreciate all the work the team is doing, just don't understand the secrecy behind the impending fixes.

Maybe it's not secrecy. Maybe they're just very busy.
Thats kinda the point though. Maybe this maybe that. Nobody is really saying anything about a patch coming. SCEA is usually one of the best in communicating with the consumer. The silence is a little troubling.
They have given this community more than any other developer could even approach. Instead of being thankful for it, we instead have been rewarding them them with rumors and accusations. I speak for myself when I say that I am very exhausted of witnessing the spoiling and entitlement that I see in person day in and day out that seeing it here as well is expected but possibly even more disappointing. First world problems in this thread.

You're right. We should just accept what we are given and be thankful for it. Never speak up about what could be fixed and never ask for info or to updated. It is what it is and will never change...wait, that sounds pretty 3rd world to me.

There is a significant difference between constructive criticism or suggestions and accusing them of secrecy and conspiracies when they just came in and said there will be a patch. Also a big difference from waiting for a video game patch and waiting for the next UN food drop. C'mon, really?
I've said my piece. Don't expect anymore reaponse from me lest this useful forum turn into an uninteresting flame forum.
I don't see the frame rate issue. I was shocked because I bought the game anyway after reading about the stuttering frame rate.
I would like to see more balls hit down the line. I rarely every see balls make it to the corners.
Frame rate issues aren't as bad as made out to be but it is noticeable, especially during cutscenes/replays. It's not game breaking as some made it out to be.
I do think ppl's expectations are way too high; they expect a patch will cure the world of all problems, which just isn't possible.
