I do think ppl's expectations are way too high; they expect a patch will cure the world of all problems, which just isn't possible.
Maybe not to you but those who are big on immersion like myself, the choppy frame rate does hurt the experience because I can't truly appreciate the presentation which is a big part of the game. I don't think that expecting to have the game run smooth at all times (cutscenes & presentation included) on a more powerful system is "having too high expectations" smh.
The game is still good but it does feel like it was rushed in certain areas.

My comment isn't just directed towards complaints on frame rate problems. If you read the forums you'll see ppl are expecting patches will fix the color of ballpark signs, infield dirt, beards, hit variation, etc. I don't see all of that happening until perhaps MLB 2015. Also, you're in no position of accusing me of not caring about player/game immersion just because we have different opinions. I stand by myself saying the framerate isn't game breaking, even if it is to you. For me, the lack of an organ playing in Wrigley Field is a bigger deal than cut scene frame rate.

$59.99, says we all should have high expectations. Class dismissed. Let's go SCEA...get it done!!!!

I'm just going to end my discussion here by saying, the higher your expectations, the more disappointed you'll be.

I don't understand why so many people are complaining. This game owns my soul every single night. The only thing I really hope they patch is some of the dark lighting in the stadiums. I bought watchdogs, and can't even play it because I can't get off this game every night.

The million dollar question I have (and if someone from SCEA would just give me a coded answer that would be just fine )

Is there another patch planned for the PS3 version of the game to address some of the franchise budget issues that were fixed for PS4.

My most annoying issue is the "first career home run" from guys who have been in the league for years. It's annoying, but I can live with it. Other than that, I LOVE this game.

There is a workaround for this. I figured it out this morning. Also a workaround for the Opening Day Bug as well.

What's the work around? Is it hit the X button, so it moves to the next scene? LOL

Can someone post a video of the choppy frame rate? I honestly don't see it, and I'd be the first person to tell you if I did. I play on a 1080p monitor with a pretty high refresh rate. Not sure if that makes any difference or not.

Nope you HAVE TO play the opening Series games between the Dbacks and Dodgers. Once you play those games then start the actual season for the rest of the teams both glitches are gone.

The opening Day bug (For every franchise game after opening day) will be gone

The messed up subscripts also go away. EXAMPLE
If you don't play those games You'll see stat overlays in other games that say
"1th double of the season" or "1th hit of the season" or "1th Homerun of the season"

Also playing these games eliminates the 1st homer run of his career overlay and commentary as well.

I'm 6 games into my new franchise and all of these glitches are gone after playing the 2 game series.

My suggestion: Either use 30 team control to play these games or use one of the two teams in franchise mode.

I wish I would have known that before I started a new Franchise for the second time. I am already 35 games into the Franchise and I play every inning of every game. I use 30 team control, but thnak you very much for the info...how did you find the work around?

I think your right. I'm one of those guys that plays every game. I played that series and I haven't heard the "1st" HR etc in any of my games.

I'm curious. How do we know this method consistently works (as in it being a true workaround and not just luck)? Has this been tested?

I ask because I haven't run into any of those problems either (1st HR, OD bug, etc) and I completely skipped ahead to the first game in the Cubs schedule.
