Kehlis is 100% right, but on top of the various patch protocol issues, you also have to be aware of all sorts of other business-related possibilities that could derail their patch efforts.

Maybe tomorrow SCEA buys another company and commits to a different gaming venture? Maybe a CEO shows up tomorrow and says "surprise, layoffs!" and they no longer have time for another patch this year? Perhaps Microsoft gives them a call and says they will pay SCEA 2 million to release The Show for Xbox before August (as if!)... I could go on, but I think you get the idea.

From a business perspective, it's a terrible idea to ever publicly commit to doing anything. People never ever let it go, and it only does more harm than good. You can't predict the future, so why try to?

That's why when you call a company, any company, and report a problem, you don't hear "we will fix it," you hear "we will investigate." That's why you get vague responses like "We hear your concerns and appreciate your feedback".

Look how completely childish and ridiculous people are being all over this thread, and SCEA hasn't even confirmed anything yet. Imagine the outcry if they promised a patch that never happened, even for the most legitimate of reasons?

or maybe aliens will abduct the fine folks at SCEA or maybe chimps riding raptors will enslave everyone. Anything is possible...

Read the thread...no one was getting childish or ridiculous until your post. No one asked for a guaranty, just a confirmation a patch is planned. How dare they, right?

This needs to be made into a motion picture. The Patch: Against All Odds Starring Mark Wahlberg as an SCEA dev who is just not satisfied with how the game is playing, and will stop at NOTHING to fix it.

I'm pretty disappointed with the developers decision to not even fix the camera saving options quickly when the website Russell directed us to to give feedback on fixing stuff actually has a Fairmount of many people complaining about it and Skia even saying themselves that they were going to fix it soon and it hasn't been fixed and it's been Bat practically two months that's really on acceptable I gave back to game about a month ago because of this

It's nice to have a general thread for a possible upcoming patch, if for no other reason than to avoid five more springing up to take its place. However, the bickering and snide comments - both "offensive" and "defensive" - need to stop.

And again, they can't confirm for reasons I've already stated regardless of if you want to believe it or not.

I'm 100% positive they are planning another patch. But confirming it would be a mistake in case it doesn't get approved or doesn't go through.

What you seem to not know or maybe don't understand is that getting a patch released isn't solely on them and they don't have total control of if it gets released or not.

Even if the likelihood of it getting released is 99.99% their is no reason to confirm it without full confirmation.

Interesting...wonder whats changed because I could of sworn in years past they had said whether there was a patch coming. I thought that's why some ppl were having doubts, because in years past they did but this year they haven't.

As long as you played that first game the 1st career homerun overlays and commentary will be eliminated. (Unless it's a a specific player's actual 1st career homer obviously)

@ShowTyme15 Thank you show much about the workaround. Since I did what you said, not only has the 1st career HR overlays and commentary been eliminated, it has corrected the overlays (which you said it would) but I am now getting cutscenes in my Franchise I was not getting before. The game presentation is working like it is supposed to be working. Thanks again!!

I do feel they owe me something. An answer, either way, on a patch. Its not all that much. I just don't understand how some of you think this is beyond reasonable.

As you can see, this was already answered.

He can't say yes, what is hard to understand about that?

If he says yes today and it falls through for any number of possible reasons then the community deems him a liar and we never hear the end of it both here and elsewhere.

He gave us the best answer we could hope for and the best answer he can give right now.

It is not our fault if you feel they owe you something. This is the explanation and a damn good one. We can either accept it or move on, no sense in continuing to argue about it or accuse people with a realistic understanding of how the world works of being "fanboys".

Could you please point us to the location that says we decided not to fix the camera saving options bug? Secondly how do you know it hasn't been fixed in our current patch that we are working on?

Because it's fixed in our current patch that we are working on right now. You shouldn't make these assumptions without any factual info. Patches are a process and they can just as easily break more parts of the game than they fix. So they must be tested thoroughly, in addition some things aren't fixable in a month or two. There are hundreds of factors that go into these things. That's why you will only ever see us comment and say we are working on a patch and not much more than that until things are concrete in nature.

Only so much bad mouthing someone can take. At the end of the day we forget this is their (SCEA guys on this board) job. You basically have a room full of people accusing these guys of not doing their job....shameful really.

I want a patch just as bad as anyone else, but enjoying the 8 or 9 of every 10 things they DID get right until that time.
