I'm curious. How do we know this method consistently works (as in it being a true workaround and not just luck)? Has this been tested?

I ask because I haven't run into any of those problems either (1st HR, OD bug, etc) and I completely skipped ahead to the first game in the Cubs schedule.

Did you start your franchise before the last patch that came out (2 weeks ago)? I've also tested this out 3 different times just to make sure it isn't luck and it's worked every time I've tried.

No, I only just started last week. It could very well be that I just got lucky (the fact that I don't have problems certainly doesn't disprove your tests) and that your method is a more surefire way to avoid issues. As long as something works for people, then great.

Aren't there some SCEA folks lurking here? Maybe one of them could confirm whether a patch is in the works or not...

Come now.... have any of you been paying attention to the crowds? Some SCEA folks , especially Russell are at EVERY game we play.... and I'm sure they're taken notes on what needs to be fixed as they see it in action.

The good news is there will be another patch. The bad news - I don't expect them to fix the high number of chased pitches which has distorted gameplay in manage mode.

The million dollar question I have (and if someone from SCEA would just give me a coded answer that would be just fine )

Is there another patch planned for the PS3 version of the game to address some of the franchise budget issues that were fixed for PS4.

I'm with you A&S. That's the biggest question for all of us PS3 guys who play Franchise mode.

Yea, $60, that's how much all games cost these days. It's not like this game was $80.

Never knew $60 was life changing money nor did I know it was worth getting all worked up over.

I was so obsessed with getting the whole opening day/ overlays to be correct, so I restarted a Franchise. I tested it by playing the Dodgers-Dbacks series first and sure enough it worked. (At least on the overlays, don't know about the 1st Home Run thing). I spent four hours this morning (before work), setting all the injuries and now I am set to start the Mets Franchise for the 3rd time. Then I realized I used the roster with the 40 man roster, not the 25 man roster set, so now I have to go back and send players down, bringing others up to have the opening day roster set. I have been keeping track of my stats for each season, (top 5 in each statistical category, Award Winners, etc. for not only my Mets Franchise but both the NL and AL since MVP back in 2002. I hope I get this thing started before the season is over...

As long as you played that first game the 1st career homerun overlays and commentary will be eliminated. (Unless it's a a specific player's actual 1st career homer obviously)

Hope they fix the choppy frame rate during cutscenes & presentation. It really hurts the immersion of the game.

They don't have time for too many performance tweaks I imagine. That should ALL be saved for 15. They need to get this game up to next gen standards rather than worry TOO much about this version IMHO.

I sincerely hope people on the PS3 version don't expect to be treated like first class next season. That system needs to be brought out back. The sooner the better.

Disagreed. The game is barely a few weeks old. I have faith that they'll fix it...well, maybe not every last thing, but they'll fix any glaring issues, as they should.

it's actually been out for 6 weeks, so I don't know what you mean by "barely a few"

It's almost like he works for a company that has rules and stuff, and can't just say anything he wants, in relation to company matters and internal activities.
