Re: MLB 15 The Show: What needs to change in order for you to purchase

Here is my wishlist for MLB 15 The Show

    MISC

    1. RETRACTABLE ROOFS, RETRACTABLE ROOFS, RETRACTABLE ROOFS. This is a must we've gone 10 years without it. (Houston, Seattle, Milwaukee, Miami, Arizona, Toronto) Make it selectable before games. It doesn't need to open/close during the game just give us the option of Open or Closed before a game or program it with weather.

    2. Player editor. Would like to see home and road equipment for players. (Catcher's gear, Batting gloves, Mitts, Cleats, Arm Sleeves etc....)

    3. Accessories: Earrings, Necklaces (Gold, Silver, Phiten),

-Baller bands (Some players wear these, See NBA 2K14 for examples).

    - More cleat options as well as batting glove options.

-We already have long, 3/4, and above elbow Compression sleeves. I'd like to see the 3 quarter compression sleeve. It ends before it gets to the wrist. (See Dodgers Matt Kemp as example)

    -More catcher gear options.

-Ability to edit the padding color and the bar colors of the catcher's mask.

-Add the soccer style shin guard and the small shin guard, Also would like the ability to have it halfway up the shin. (Some players do this)

-More bat tape color options (Add team colors instead of just white, black, red, blue, green)

-More mitt color options (Add Team colors are options)

-Ability edit more than just 1st color, 2nd color and laces color on the mitts. (Make EVERY single part of the glove editable)

-More mitt options. Trapeze, Hinge, Web, Normal etc.......

4.Give the Team trainers/Doctors Team Color shirts instead of the same red shirts grounds keepers wear.

5.Editor: More hair styles Examples below

    -Short, Medium, Long braids

    -Short, Medium, Long Dreads

-Bring back Fade 2 that is on the PS3 version to the PS4 version.

-Mohawk (tons of players have this Giancarlo Stanton comes to mind)

6.Bring back the grass pattern choices for Stadiums (Make it selectable before the Game starts)

    7. More Spring Training Parks and Minor League Parks as well

    8. If we get a Stadium Creator allow Retractable/Dome as an option to choose from

    9. Expansion Teams (See All Star Baseball 2005)

    10. Relocation (See Madden 25 Or Older Madden Games as well from mid 2000's)

    PRESENTATION

-Add more intro fly in pictures (If you guys plan on sticking with it next year) per stadium. Instead of having just 1 picture per stadium have 2, 3, or more.

-The Pregame (where we see players on the field, or laughing with each other, or doing sprints) Show batting practice, or players giving autographs or even shots of pre game press conferences of managers/Players.

-Would like a weekly highlight show. (See NFL 2k5)

-Live look ins. EXAMPLE: During an ESPN broadcast they'll show one highlight of another game from the studio....... I would like to see you guys maybe add something like that maybe between innings. If not do something similar to NBA 2k series and between innings show upcoming match-ups (With the narrator).

-Another Pre-game presentation I would like to see is maybe show a TV crew (Baseball Tonight as example or Old NCAA Football Series from Mid 2000's When Nessler, Herbstreet, and Corso would do the pre-game team picks ) At the stadium with a stage and all. Or even from a studio.

-Player of the Game: Add more than one Reporter (it's the same guy every game) and do voices if you can.

    -Security guards to stadiums

-If it is raining show a pre-game shot of the field with the Tarp on the field. (since there or no rain delays you could have Matty V. Say the rain is subsiding and it looks like we are going to get this game in folks. Stay tuned)

-Pie to the face or Water/Gatorade dumps after walk off wins.

-Places like Cincinnati Should have cars driving on the Bridge. Pittsburgh can have people walking on the Bridge.

-SF should have more people on small boats or jet skis in the cove. Also Boats should be moving in the water instead of staying static.

-In Spring Training Parks add fans to the OF Burms and have them walk and move around as well.

-If it is windy outside the Trees and Shrubs should be moving around with the wind like the flags move (See Palm trees at Dodger Stadium)

    -Between innings show Ariel Shots.

-Fans catching Foul Balls and Homeruns. Also allow them to throw the homerun ball back in some cases (See Wrigley Field when Away team homers)

-Stadium Shots from the top of Stadiums (They always show Dodger Stadium on TV with shots from behind home plate, but all the way at the top of the stadium)

-Cars driving in parking lots as well as people walking (during the game)

    -More generic stadium signs/Advertisements

-Fans actually filing out of the stadium (during the game) When there is a blow out. Right now the fans just disappear between innings. Would like to actually see them get up and file out like you would see on TV or if you're at a game personally.

-More interaction between players and fans. Show them throwing balls into stands or handing it to a kid. Tossing it over the dugout to fans after an inning has ended

    11. Team/ Player morale

    12. Ability to talk a player out of retirement.

    13. Incorporate manger/Coaches Jersey numbers into the editor/circulation. Looks dumb when my manager or base coach has the same number as a player.

    14. Ability to edit the fake managers/Coaches (Name, appearance etc....)

    15. Ability to do a mound visit with the catcher manually

    16. Have a defensive substitution done between innings rather than doing it when a guy come up to bat or the start of the next inning. (Set it up the same way you have for bringing a new pitcher in or a pinch hitter for the pitcher)

    17. All Star Game uniforms need to change every year. Only if you guys decide to keep it that way. If you add individual team uniforms for the ASG then this request would be invalid. (In MLB 14 you have the 2014 All Star uniforms in every All Star game after 2014. It's static)

    18. In season contract extensions

    19. Full A ball rosters instead of the 15 place holders.

    20. Front end: Ability to release a player without having to replace him with another from the Free Agent list.

    21. Allow us to add a player to a team with out trading one for one (See MLB 2k13)

    22. Pre existing injuries: Instead of a guy being placed in the minors just give us the option to have pre existing injuries on before we start a franchise. (Also See MLB 2k13)

    23. More people in the dugout. Trainers, more pitchers etc....... The dugouts look too empty.

    24. With the 3 man Commentary Booth, why not have a sideline type reporter as well. Fox always has Ken Rosenthal as part of the pre game, in game, and post game so why not have something similar?

    25. More noises outside of the stadiums. Examples Helicopters, planes, police/ambulance sirens, trains, car horns etc.......

    26. Full 90 man Spring Training Rosters

    27. Spring Training Games:Players that leave the game should do sprints on the Warning Track. Would like to see this added to the Show if possible.

    28. If a team wins a Pennant, or World Series add the banners to the specific stadium the following season.

    29. Players that do retire allow them to become coaches (Madden does this)

    30. Add Fall League Baseball. This would be a great addition and would be nice to see the future talent and what we have to look forward too.

    31. In franchise mode allow create a stadiums (Owner mode) and allow us to move our team into the stadium. EXAMPLE: If I want to move the Tampa Bay Rays out of Tropicana Field allow me to build a new stadium and move them into it after the 1st or second season of franchise mode.

    32. Players stats resetting when they change leagues in Franchise mode.

    33. Editable draft classes

I actually had this list created back in June. I was waiting for a wish list thread, but Ramone said they weren't doing one this year. I figured I could post it here.

I know it is. I'm always going to purchase this game. I just tossed in some wishes for not only 15, but beyond that. Don't really see it as a big deal, just more of a discussion than anything. Maybe I should have posted it in the changes thread???

Haha I agree with you on that. I was thinking the same thing the other day when I was reading through this thread. Maybe a handful of people won't purchase it, but majority in here will lol.

Re: MLB 15 The Show: What needs to change in order for you to purchase

                  Now THAT is a list!

You touched on one thing I've always wanted (posted in previous Wishlist threads by Ramone a couple of times) which is a better Spring Training experience.

Personally, I wish it would be a mode IN game, like Playoff mode, or even like a mini Franchise mode. Start a Spring Training season, schedule is created, your roster configuration is different (expanded of course). All Sprint Training uniforms are available.

Most of all, all of the Spring Training Ballparks are in the game. These parks wouldn't need to be to the level of details as their Major League Counterparts, but it would be great if they were available (ie: Jet Blue Park for the Red Sox, Steinbrenner Field for the Yankees, all the cool new parks in the Cactus League like Camelback Ranch, Surprise, Peioria Sports Complex, etc).

I tend to dwell in a personal Spring Training (ala Exhibition games using the limited number of Spring training ballparks) until M.K. Knight and the boys complete the O.S. Full Minors roster set.

A Spring Training Mode would be great for this.

p.s. I'm really hoping that they really add to the list of available accessories this year. Especially for cleats, elbow guard and leg/shin guard styles.

My family was poor when I was growing up. I didn't have many Christmas' but I was always thankful for what I did get when I got it.

You know what would be cool for the show? Mlb slugfest had some funny announcer skits during loading times before every game, I used to load games just to hear them! It would be funny to have that, plus, it would distract us from the loading!

Just thought of this while watching the O's game... How about the ability to add notes on how to pitch each batter? In game notes something that we could click on and add and delete notes, trends or successes in how you (the user) pitched batters.
                            No? Yes? Maybe?
Something that obviously traveled with each and every batter in the game. Whether traded or not.
God theres so many things I would love to have tracked in this game that would (at least to me) make the whole experience 100% better. Not saying it's bad now, coz it's not but it would just open the whole game up to a totally in depth and immersive experience!!!
Player stats, in game stats, career stats, team stats, all of it!!!
Please SCEA it's such a huge part of the game and to still have it (for the most part) missing is well.... a bummer

One thing I would like to see is the use of abilities. Basically, something like coming through with runners on third, gets a fast start from home plate, good low ball pitcher (or hitter I suppose), things like that. If I remember corectly, NBA 2K15 has something similar in what it calls "badges". The MLB Power Pros (also, Jikkyou Powerful Pro Yakyuu and Pro Yakyuu Spirits) series all had something similar. It was nice to be able to give a player and ability.

Howie Kendrick for example, is a guy that will very often ground into a double play with a man on first. Jered Weaver is a flyball pitcher, he had this ability in MLB Power Pros. I know these things are kinda already built in to the ratings, but being able to specifically pick or give them the abilities would be great.

Another couple abilities you could give players was being good or bad in a day game or good or bad in a night game. Rain was also one of those. I've only seen translations of the Japanese games but they've added new abilities. Here's some of the abilities:

                              Hitting/Fielding abilities:

                              Pitching abilities:

Special abilities (that apply to fielding, hitting, pitching, etc):

Little things like this give players more personality sort of as well IMO. I think it would be a nice addition, but I think it would probably lead to them having to rework the player ratings system as a whole, so I don't believe that it will happen exactly like this, but something similar would be great. Being able to have that in road to the show you could either earn them (like the walk off home run ability could be earned by hitting a walk off home run a couple times) or you can use training points to purchase the ability.

Also, I know it's been said before, but a story type thing like what NBA 2K has would I think add more feeling and attachment to RTTS. Sure, it gets "stale" after a while, but be honest, it being there cant possible be worse than what we have now, which is nothing but earning training points from games and upgrading stats. Thats why I love the Jikkyou Powerful Pro Yakyuu/MLB Power Pro series', they both have stories when you create a player, and they're tons of fun.

                              Lastly, Stadium/Franchise creator please.

As I'm listening to the Giants, the guy I'd love the show to get for pbp is Jon Miller! He was great in the earlier 2k games, and he just has that golden voice that you don't get tired of hearing!
1458, not counting playoffs, that's the number of games in a row I haven't missed! Go Yanks!
