No big deal really. Last year was the first time i got rid of the strike zone and things while batting. Probably take it a step further and do the same for pitching.

I've been playing with everything off the screen including the pitch selections. You just gotta do a good job at remembering what your guy throws lol, especially when you bring in RP's throughout the game. But it does give it a good look without the clutter..only issue is seeing your pitchers stamina, unless you mound visit or turn the pitches back on screen.

You can see this now without doing a mound visit, you hit the left directional button and a quick info screen will drop down under the score bug like last year. You will be able to see the pitcher's stamina. I am trying to recall but I believe the left directional showed both pitchers and the right directional showed pitcher batter like last year.

That's great then, something that small is a nice add when you play that way. Glad to hear that

Or are the only options on where they are there and off?
Yeah I saw that in the first video. Not a fan of the new placement for those pitch icon things. It looks very messy and "thrown in." Not only that it's too close to the center, but the way they are not parallel with each other or w/e...

I'm not gonna organize any protests or anything but I just wanna throw in my 2 cents on the off chance that this is not a final layout or that they are still taking feedback on it.

I agree, I like the former layout better, on the side... I'd even be ok with the new way, if it was on the side.

Also don't like what they did with swing feedback, i liked the box that used to come up, because a lot of broadcasts use something similar to show pitches.

That is the final configuration. I doubt if it changes too. Part of the change involves the lowering of the baserunner windows to be in line with the 1B and 3B bag.

I think the reasoning was to focus your attention closer to home plate. Remember, it's only there when batting in a 2P couch game; unless you pitch from that view.

I personally play with all OSDs off so I never really noticed it, one way or another.

Isn't it there when batting against a CPU pitcher? It was last year.

I play with the other OSD's off but since theres no other quick way to keep track of the opposing pitcher's repertoire I like to leave that one on

Yeah, you're right. It's still the same way... like I said turn it all off from jump. Sorry about that.

I don't know how I feel about the new pitch select OSD but it doesn't concern me much because I turn all OSD off except for scorebug and the pitch analog meter.

By default it is not there when you are batting against the CPU. You have to hit R2 to bring it up. In some of the streams you can see this by seeng the R2 icon. It is static when you are pitching.

I know you can hide the pitch info when you are at bat by pressing R2. Can you also do that when you are pitching or is it only for when you are at bat?

It does not have the same R2 option when you are pitching and just to clarify you are pressing R2 to bring the OSD not to shut it off. As soon as you release the button it goes away.

So while pitching it's either on or off? Would've liked it for pitching as well.
