I don't think the overall effect shows up simply, as in increased walks...
In the latest Twitch stream, Lincecum's changeup had some vicious fade & sink on it (seen from catcher cam). The movement looked very good, and it wasn't even a circle change. Maybe sliders will finally have more downward tilt to them, too. I'm hopeful the spin axis & rotation adjustments are going to really pop at 1080/60.

They actually are useful, for both hitting and pitching.

You are more likely to have solid contact in a hot zone, especially at higher difficulty levels. On the other side, CPU hitters are more likely to swing at pitches in or near a hot zone, which is how you get the CPU to chase pitches out of the zone.

Using ESPN as a reference for H/C zones, it is definitely not a representation of hitters in real life.

Do you know if there is anyway to turn off the Demo Mode when you leave the game running? Will it be on MLB 15?

Just to clarify, are you talking about the ability to jump into a Demo Mode game? If you meant disabling the demo mode entirely, I guess you could leave it on something other than the main menu...lol.

I'm kinda curious if that's still in too.

Demo mode is still in the game if you leave it idle before going to the main menus.

Question about how swing info is displayed now:

I know the swing timing now shows up next to the actual strike zone (and color coded for your convenience ). Do we still have a way to show the location of where the PCI was when we swung? And can we still see where the CPU was swinging while it is batting?

I haven't seen a swing info window yet, and that's what I'm curious about. Not necessarily the window itself, but the info we got from it.

All that will show up in and around the zone now. You toggle it between that and the pitch locations.

Cool. Hoping to get a screenshot of that (or otherwise I guess I'll just see it when the game comes out).

If you go into Thursday's stream, there is a glimpse when Lance toggles at the 14:54 mark and also check around the 24:00 mark. You might not be noticing it because the PCI graphic has changed, it's not a solid circle anymore. Now you get the timing feedback within the PCI along with color (green, yellow, red) and location.

Yeah, I get it now - the glow inside the strike zone represents where the PCI was.

On the first example you gave me I saw directional buttons on the left and right sides of the zone - those buttons are how you toggle between the last pitch and the entire at-bat, I take it?

Thanks, I totally missed those the first time around. I did see that part of the stream but I was getting ready for work so I wasn't paying close attention.

Correct that is how you toggle.

Is the guess pitch unchanged? Anyone try that out?

I did not investigate guess pitch, I saw others using it and it looked the same to me.
