Re: MLB 15 The Show (Community Day Gameplay Q&A Thread)
In MLB13 when pitching in broadcast view we were able to pull the camera out(think it was R2) so we could see the runner on second. It was taken out/didn't work in MLB14 on ps4 even though it was listed in the control's manual.
Any news if it will be back in 15 ?Comment

Yeah that's it,been awhile since i looked what the control was.
In 14(ps4) its under pitching basics,"pan cam back to 2nd",down on d-pad or Right stick, in pitcher/outfield views only.
I submitted a bug report last year but it never got fixed so maybe it was removed but was left in the game controls.Comment

Re: MLB 15 The Show (Community Day Gameplay Q&A Thread)
Question about GM contracts: I know it was mentioned that option to turn off GM contracts was there when starting a new Franchise but can you turn off GM contracts contracts once you are inside a Franchise? If I transfer my Franchise over and don't not want contracts on, could I turn it off despite already being in a Franchise.Comment

Re: MLB 15 The Show (Community Day Gameplay Q&A Thread)
Defensive strategy question:
IRL almost no one would have their 1B "hold" a pitcher on, or a particularly slow runner (Yadier Molina, David Ortiz) on the bag; Those guys are not steal threats.
Also, on a 3-2 counts with two outs teams often will not hold that runner at 1B since he is going on that pitch anyway. But last year the CPU ALWAYS held the runner in those situations, (unless the game was a blowout). So , being a MOM player, and wanting to be fair, I would always hold the runners on even in situations where I never would IRL. This opens up a hole on the right side that should not exist.
So, did you notice if the CPU team still always hold the runners on in the above mentioned situations? ThanksComment

Re: MLB 15 The Show (Community Day Gameplay Q&A Thread)
Hey guys, I am sure this has been asked previously, but I was unable to find anything when searching the forums...
I know that there were numerous fielding animations added this year (which look amazing), but was/has there been any talk about adding new foul ball and follow through animations when batting (most likely next years rendition)?
Thanks!Comment

No. This was in last year (and maybe even the year before, but not sure). It's only in RTTS. When you are running the bases, if you hold down R1 you will watch the ball. If you hold down L1, your focus will shift to the 3rd base coach and he will tell you whether to stop or keep running, just like real life. I use this feature all the time. Can't believe so many people haven't done it or didn't know about it.Comment

Re: MLB 15 The Show (Community Day Gameplay Q&A Thread)
Question:
Does anyone know if the Devs have mentioned whether or not all the new skin tones will be available to us in the player editor/create-a-player interface?
Hopefully so, it'd be a shame if created players looked like MLB 14 and Sony's were the only ones that looked shiny and new.Comment

one of my favorite features hands down.. it's a great 1st person perspective after u hit the ball. wish u could use it for every batter but it does also work if u player lock too. nothing feels more like you are virtually rounding the bases then that follow the batter camera view..

Re: MLB 15 The Show (Community Day Gameplay Q&A Thread)
For those that have played MLB 15.. would you say the gameplay feels closer to MLB 13 or MLB 14?
I've been going back and playing some MLB 13 lately on PS3 and I find that it's a little more fun to play for me. I love MLB 14, but a lot of the time I get more enjoyment out of MLB 13. I do like the refinements made to MLB 14 gameplay wise, but just curious for those who have felt it themselves.Comment
