Coould it be the assist taking over like your doing it to late? Go by the marks in the dirt where players start to slide. I usually will hit the stick a step before the marks. It still wont make you slide any earlier, but the input will be there. I hope that made sense.

Don't know. I'll try that. Are you 100% sure you've actually done a takeout slide in Road to the Show?Comment

Re: Official MLB 15 : Road to the Show Thread
I have before. I don't get many, or all the time, but I contribute that to I'm a power hitter first baseman, so I'm really not that quick and my base aggressiveness is low bc I put everything into hitting and fielding.

Re: MLB 15 : Road to the Show Thread
I swear, the only balls that I can hit consistently are one's that are over the heart of the plate. It's frustrating that you can't (at least I can't) hit pitches that are on the corner's of the strikezone, or even balls out of the strikezone for that matter. I basically have to sit and wait until I get a pitch right down the middle and hope I hit it.Comment

Secondly, by taking those iffy pitches that are on the black or the corners, a lot of them are going to be balls, and you'll get yourself into better counts and then you can get your down the middle stuff.Comment

Re: Official MLB 15 : Road to the Show Thread
This isn't specifically a RTTS question but what is there a quick way to earn money to buy equipment with for my player? I've only had the game a couple weeks but I'm really far from being able to afford the best gear.

Cardinals win the World Series!
St Louis Cardinals sweep Washington Nationals for the NLCS and win 4-1 against Texas Rangers in the World Series. The rookie SS Oil Can Falkenborg was a bit shaky but managed to take home both the PS MVP and the WS MVP award. During the off-season Falkenborg negotiated to get a six year, $10 800 000 deal with the team he had so much success with.
After the off-season I checked on the roster and noticed that Wainwright and Holliday dropped TWENTY points. How is that even possible?
Another thing, is there any reason to complete Spring Training if you don't need the training points? I played one game and I just didn't like it and the thought of playing 25-30 games is kinda putting me off.Comment

Re: MLB 15 : Road to the Show Thread
I am sick and tired of being drafted by the Chicago Cubs. Make a starting pitcher? Cubs. 4 Year School? Cubs. Speedy hitting Middle infielder? Cubs. 2 year school? Cubs. 2 more years? Cubs. Flamethrowing closer? Cubs. I CANNOT ESCAPE THE CUBS. LEAVING THE GAME AND GOING BACK GETS ME AT THE CUBS AGAIN.Comment

Nah there is no reason to do spring training if u have no need for more points to improve your player I always simulate spring training personally

Re: MLB 15 : Road to the Show Thread
Curious how do u guys avoid bad trades from happening just had a road to show where i simulated the season just to see how long it would take before they called me up and my Cubs traded Kris Bryant to the dodgers for Joc Pederson and some Sp I don't remember who couldn't be over a 73ovr
Than had another where they traded Miguel Mongrel for LF Corey Crawford not to mention my guy is a LF with A potential
Just curious how do u guys avoid bad trades or unwanted trades from happening personally I make a new save every 5 games that way I have tons of different saves n can go back if we make a bad trade what do u do?Only thing in sports that matters is Chicago Bears, Bulls, Cubs, and Blackhawks .

Re: MLB 15 : Road to the Show Thread
I started a RTTS as myself. I'm a CP and I got drafted by the Red Sox. I cruised through AA, got called up to AAA in July and played the rest of 2015 there. The Yankees swept the Giants in the WS.
Now I'm in Spring Training 2016 and pitching for the Red Sox Spring Training Squad. I'm struggling in my first action against MLB hitters. In 7 games, I'm 0-2 and I have a 7+ ERA.Ravens: In Ozzie We Trust

Re: MLB 15 : Road to the Show Thread
Question...I have a RTTS ss for the Yankees. When I went to look at my roster, I noticed that Jacoby was missing. This is only my first year. I checked to see if he got hurt or even traded, but I can't find him anywhere. It's kind of weird and annoying at the same time. Has this happened to anyone else?
ThanksComment

Re: MLB 15 : Road to the Show Thread
Some trades seem to be set in stone but you can avoid most if you keep a bunch of separate saves. I had a lot of problems with that during the dreadful month of July for my shortstop but I managed to prevent some really bad trades. It cost me a long hit streak and some really great games but it was worth it.
Speaking of trades, I thought that a World Series winning team would have some money to attract good players but we have only signed two players that seem decent. I'm happy we got Alex Gordon as a LF since Holliday dropped from 85 B to 65 D (!). He is placed on waivers but is still part of the lineup. We got Brian Dozier as a 2B but I'm not sure that was so good since he matches Wong (both are 86 B). Wong had a pretty crappy year but he straightened out in the post-season and was killing it in Spring Training with 9 homers, a bunch of doubles and no errors. We'll see how it goes.
I'm really excited to begin a new season! Jhonny Peralta is back in the big leagues on the bench as an "everyday player". I hope he's not after my job as a starter...Comment
