I'm pretty pissed off. I got traded from the Indians to the Washington Nationals.

One of the most surprising MLB debut in history. First pitch, first HR.

I'm in May of my 7th year. First full season on 15, played my last season split between 14 and 15. Right now my average is stupid high but my power numbers are down. I'm gonna see how it plays out over the course of the season. In 14 I would always have months where I'd get hot and hit 10 or more homers, I'd also have months where I would hit like .230 and everything was a hard hit line drive right towards a defender's glove or a flyout to the warning track. So I'll see how it balances out over a season before I think about making any adjustments. But I don't really want to be hitting .350-360 with 25 homers. I'm more of a guy who hits anywhere between .280 and .320 with 40+ homers type guy, or at least that's what I've always been up until this point.

Re: MLB 15 : Road to the Show Thread

I've tried many positions, many types of players, without many success so I decided last night to start over and made Derek Jeter at SS. In previous Showcases and first few games, if I was able to hit for .300 and produce points, it was a miracle.

Don't know if that's the batting stance, the type of player (looking for contact and don't force anything) but I've been hitting like crazy with Jeter. After 5 games, 25 at bats, I'm batting .520 with 9 RBI. Of the 13 hits, 9 are for extra bases (5 doubles and 4 triples).

I really don't know what's going on, it's going to get back to normal, but so far so good, seems like I see the ball like I haven't seen it in 15 to that point.

Looking forward to play with the Yankees in a few seasons.

Re: MLB 15 : Road to the Show Thread

                Time for my pet peeve.

I was call up in August and was the starting CF for the remainder of the season for the Cardinals. I hit just over .300 in roughly 150 at bats. I did not get to play in the playoffs because I was not on the roster at the cutoff date.

At the end of the season I get offered a contract for Triple A. I thought that was strange but I said what the heck because I knew that my only real option was to accept the contract.

Spring training roles around and I am only subbed into the game late, maybe getting one at bat and one fielding opportunity. So I forego the points and fast forward through Spring Training (forfeiting any points I may have earned).

Great, I am on the MLB roster as I thought I should be but I am strictly a bench player. Through the first 10 or 15 games I have played one game and all my other appearances are pinch hit appearances late in the game for the pitcher. After a while this kills the fun.

I understand that the loads are MUCH faster but it is hard to get much momentum when the loading of the game, the cut scenes and the exiting/saving of the game is sometimes longer than your appearance. It's hard to get invested when you hit play next appearance and see four or five games go past without you.

I started for the team in their stretch run to the playoffs. The same outfielders are on the team again this year. I am a 79 overall before my RTTS equipment boosts. Why am I riding the pine? I'd rather be a starting CF in AAA and earning training points than be an occasional pinch hitter in the majors.

Re: Official MLB 15 : Road to the Show Thread

Haven't really played in a while but my SS is a 81 overall. His fielding is a 70 while his hitting is just a tad bit over 60. On the Oakland Athletics and I'm loving it. I have about 2 full months of games left before playoffs and I'm trying to make the playoffs with them.

My MLB journey so far, Had a great first game showcase going 4-6 with 8 RBI in the showcase, but everything went bad after that. Was projected to go 3 round which was to bas but decided to go back to college for 2 year and still had a bad showcase performance, but some how was able to still be a 3 round pick. Got drafted by the Marlins and spent 2 months in the AA, until I got called up to the AAA where I played 1 1/2 months, the ASG for AAA, and USA vs World where I did terrible and could do as well as I want. Manage to get called up to the Marlins where I played only 3 games with them. After my first 2 games they trade Stanton to the Cardinals for mediocre players that we didn't need, then after my 3rd game they trade me to Oakland. At first I was pissed but then started doing good in Oakland.

                  81 overall SS, Athletics
17 G, .299, 4 HR, 16 RBI, 1 error are all the stats I can remember of the top of my head.

Was batting around .350 until I hit a slump. I usually go on slumps like these and it either I'm not getting contact or I'm not getting enough power with my hits. My BA went down mainly because of flyouts, ans a few stupid strikes.

Can anyone help me with stealing, I'm still confused on how to steal effectively. I always get poor jump whenever I try. My speed is around 65 and my stealing is a 50, I know this is terrible but I seen people do better stealing with worst stats.

It takes time and don't rush it your time in the minors. The Majors is a whole other sorry and you don't want to be a 65 overall making mistakes every where. If you want to get moved up faster then get/buy stubs and increase your player stats. Also fielding may be a reason why you haven't moved up.

Gonna create a SS based off of Brett Lawrie.

                      Starting off I'm a 49 overall 5'11" 195lbs SS.

Won my first game 4-2. CF had a blooper on one of my hits so I was 0 for 3 but still advanced the runner and one scored but I wasn't credited with the RBI. Got 46 training points that game still from my excellent fielding. (I still say in my head "plays to 1st/2nd/3rd/home")

0 for 3 in my second game. My timing sucks. Pop-ups galore. Using contact swing on directional hitting. WTF.

1 for 3 in my third game. Also hit by a pitch when I managed to work the count! I can't baserun. Although I got 1 SB.

Draft time. I got drafted in the 3rd round 5th overall by the Houston Astros. I decided to sign with the team as I knew someone that played with the Astros IRL.

They have me batting 8th as the DH in AA.

0 for 4 in my first game as DH. I'm unreal at this game. HAHA

I played a month in AA, two months in AAA, and the rest in the majors my first year. In the off-season, I got a 7 year contract as a starter.

This was carried over from MLB 14 though and I think I paid 5 bucks for extra attribute points last year.

It's the last month of 2015 and I'm like an 85 overall. My player is very extreme. He'll be hot, then cold usually. Sometimes he'll have a solid month.

Just got called up after 5 seasons in the minors. Which consisted of 2 season ending injuries, two demotions from AAA, & 1300 AB's. Playing on legend I was batting .320 in AA before being called up. Finally get to the majors and I'm gettin my butt handed to me. Batting .160 thru 8 games. Did not know it would be that huge of difference between majors vs minors. I love the challenge even tho I suck balls right now

Jon Jay got hurt so I am getting a chance to play everyday. I have my CF up to an 80 overall (+ a few levels on equipment.)

Most of my offensive skills are at least at 70, with contact a little higher.

Most of my defensive skills are around 60

Here's hoping that I keep the starting job when Jay comes off the DL.

LOL, I'm compelled to share this..

They weren't easily earned either. I play on hall of fame ( no guess pitch and zone hitting ) with default sliders. Believe it or not, this is the second game I've had like this in his short career.

Two were opposite field and one was left center. One of the ones to right barely made it. The other two were clearly gone off the bat.
